Debs
I have 3 children under 10 - that are over a lot - that should be more than enough to keep me busy - but it's sometimes nice to get away for 5 minutes peace
Still managing on the electric ones so it's not all lost.
Glad to see everyone is still managing well0 -

Well done Sax11! :j
If E-cigs are working, then there is no rush to stop them because they don't contain all the deadly poisonous extras that real cigs do!
Much cheaper tooI used them the first time around, and managed to stop with them... stupidly I let a break up push me to smoking properly again at the time.

Hi All and well done on making the desicion to quit smoking. I can guarantee it will be one of the best things you will ever do.
I quit my 20 a day habit 5 years ago today with the help of this site, Sue-uu and champix tablets. I only took them for just over a month as they made me woo-woo but by then I'd broken the "habit" times.
I'm really pressed for time at the moment as I'm at work but will come back later. Keep going everyone, you can do it!!

Thanks Naomi it's nice to hear a success story, I have done exactly the same as you and took champix for one month and then stopped them as they made me feel vile! I'm on day 10 today of no smoking and loving it at the moment, loving seeing more money left in my bank!
5 years is amazing well done, do you still ever get the feeling of missing smoking?Total debt to pay: £14,071.41/ Remaining debt: £12,884.12: Amount Paid: £1,187.29

Hi everyone have had such a busy week and slightly stressed but I am back on track from yesterday. Everything seems to happen at once must stop using excuses. I had 2 cigarettes the day before. My CO reading was up to 2 on Friday and I could feel a wheeze, not good.
You are doing so well Laura, I don't really feel like one it's just habit I think. When stressed reach for a cigarette.
I have not totally gave up like all the other attempts and I am glad I am not spending the same amount on cigarettes.
NOT buying anymore
Keep up the good work everyone

You still doing well debs2009 and keep going one of the times you stop will be the last!
I'm on day 12 today, still have no desire what so ever and although it has nothing to do with me quitting my OH loves me not smoking, he stopped the first time I tried which was about a year ago.
I'm finding the money, and the amazing taste of food now to be my biggest motivation!

Evening all I am on day 3 of stopping smoking for the 500th time !!!! OH still smoking so once again i can already seeing myself failing as i cant handle them in the house.
My reasons for stopping are my health, my children who would love me to be smoke free.
Debt i need to be debt free i can not justify spending money on cigarettes when i am in debt.
I have bought zero nicotine patches and so far so good. Have to keep them on for 3 days only downside is went for a swim today and yeah they do come off in the pool.
Which is not good as one job involves being in the pool.
Wishing everyone luck.sealed pot challenge 099

Good luck Shinner!!!
I understand what you mean about OH smoking, although slightly different Im back living with my mum to clear my debts before I move out again and she smokes at the back door so I can smell it a mile off. My OH quit the 1st I attempted to quit but he stuck to it that was almost a year ago.
I know I keep piping on about it, but the book I read.... Allen Carr easyway to quit for women I found helped me a lot there, because it taught me to not envy my mum being able to smoke but in a way feel sorry for her because deep down she would probably quit to if she felt she could. It may not help you, but the book is worth a try.
Look forward to hearing how you get on! This is day 12 nearly into day 13 now for me, and im technically not using anything now as the champix I was using made me feel so ill.

Failing miserably
Oh well today is another start of a week, have to get out of the habit to relieve boredom at work. One the electric ones at the pub tonight though, if i can manage that i'll at least be too late for the shops to sell me any0 -
Hi everyone just popping in quickly before I head to work.
Was so busy last night listing on ebay I didn't even feel like a cigarette.
Another no smoking day yesterday for me
Sax keep going even though you are finding it hard, you are still trying that's the main thing.
Thank you Laura I am getting there slowly and I have also noticed a difference in money. I went to get petrol on Saturday and usually get cigarettes too, got mints instead.
Hi Shinner good to hear from another person trying to quit. Can you not get the patches free from the chemist I know some run stop smoking programmes?
Better run
