Busymumofthreeplusdog wrote: »Big hugs mrsCautious. What age are you daughters? I only ask as a daughter whose mother has twice recently not told her of health scares til after the event I would want to know. I was relieved and cross with my mum all at the same time! Of course you know your daughters better than anyone and will know what's best, I'm just saying from the others possible point of view.
hello
My daughters are 15, I totally see where you are coming from, as they have lost their dad less than 2 years ago and he died within months of a diagnosis of terminal illness, and we lost our dog this week from kidney disease, I can't find a reason to tell my girls at this stage, I know from grief counselling sessions we have had that they are already terrified of losing me and I am not going to add to their stress. What I will do, once and for all, is get my excess weight off, find an exercise plan that suits me and obliterate any reason for them to worry, I can and will beat this xx
I'd like to tell them I have reversed the effects -- it is possible.
If for any reason things get serious,, then and only then will I tell them. They are amazing girls (I would say that!) who are currently coping with the demands early GCSEs and mocks have sent their way.
I've spent £50 in Aldi and Sains combined today, veering towards my target but if I'm to 'average out' at £200 a month there's a bit of slack from Jan and Feb.
Thanks again for kind thoughts -- I've had better weeks x0 -

MrsCautious - thinking of you and please look after yourself. Do what it takes and reverse the disease if at all possible. Thinking of you and the girls.
Well had a rough few days with just about everything going pear shaped. Mum is getting more dependent on me and another family member had some problems which we have now sorted for them.
In turn this just about put some plans of ours on hold even going normal food shopping got to be a job and a half and I was only 1/4 way up the first aisle when I had chucked away my list grabbed anything and got out of there fast. Needless to say spent more than usual and yet have nothing to show for it. Never mind it doesn't happen often so have put it behind me now and off we go for rest of month. It does mean in the last couple of days I have spent £28.66 and have none of the usual items in.
Tonight we had some ys chicken thighs with potatoes and broccoli. I made a cheesey sauce using mushrooms, onions, garlic and some chopped chives. It worked well and we really enjoyed it.
Tomorrow is a new day so will get back on track. Had,nt spent very much previously so it hasn't put us over budget or anything but its annoying never the less.MARCH £62.38/2500 -
£3 spend on milk and lotto, so updating my totals - £100.88/£180 remaining now.
Is the £107 million winner here I wonder????We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -

Thinking of you Mrs Cautious x
Have just made an online mr A shop to collect on my way past on Tuesday. It was always going to be tight but I am now over budget by a pound and will def need some milk and fruit next weekend. Going to try not to let it all go wrong though. The thing is, if it was just me and the girls to feed we'd be fine. Dh eats so much and not always great stuff. He's a biscuit addict and although does like homemade is also a sucker for a choccie digestive. Oh well, we've still cut down sooo much and I'd like him to have some nice bits now and again x0
