Neither off me! I did what I said. Went inside. Run with eyes down. Looked at the YS section with the corner of my eye while running. Straight to the milk section. OUT. £2 for milk.

Next shopping is Sunday morning. Maybe bf will get a beer or 2 tonight.

    Happy weekend everyone!!!
I always scan the YS first and will base the next weeks meals accordingly. It can make a huge difference but you can get caught out getting those other items to round a meal off.

Felt well enough to get to Aldo,s today, spent £50.50, that included 2 bittle of plonk as want to make OH a nice meal tomorrow night, as we,re child free - think he,s been feeling a bit neglected recently and has been a great 'nurse' all week LOL

Suns finally appeared through the fog, live near the sea and the foghorns have been blowing all night and all morning - ferries either cancelled or heavily delayed, should be okay by now though.

Soooooo frustrated with DH!! I thought I'd done well today with shopping at Mr A& Mr L getting the veggies in for just over £20. However as DD is pescitarian I asked DH to get Qu0rn, milk & fajita mix( which the don't do at A & L) when he was out tonight. The total of the stuff I asked him to get should gave come to just over £8. He managed to spend £18! On carp to boot! Grrrr! Asked him to go to Mr T for the items so we could get the points towards fuel discount and he goes to Mr M!! What is the point in me budgeting, scrimping when he blows it. Of course the kids think he's bl00dy great cos he bought crisps, olives & dip( and I don't!). £10 of carp that will be gone by this time tomorrow night!!

And I'm not sure it's right that I should feel this cross..... :(
    I would be really cross!

I 'converted' ages ago, and use Al*i, Li*l, F.Fds, Home Bags and £1 shops for most things. Ok, you don't always get 'branded' stuff but worth a try to save £££s. Have to admit that some He*nz stuff not replaceable but lots of these stores do them sometimes. I feel sorry for those who don't have access to these and have to rely on the big SMs for all their shopping :(

Don't know if it would help - I told my DH that he could buy what he liked 'off list' if he pays for it and it's working so far :rotfl:

Spent £2.99 on a steak pie from the butcher/baker (very good) which we had for tea with mash, steamed veg and gravy and a spend of £3.28 in Li*l for big bag pots and cheese.

Have put gammon joint in S/C tonight for dinner tomorrow.

Hope you all have a fantastic Friday

liking the idea of telling your DH that anything is wants to buy off list comes out of his pocket. Not sure if that would work for us though as the end goal is to cut grocery spends full stop, as opposed to the extras coming out of another budget... I'll have to have a think about this...I guess the fact that it would come out of my DHs pocket would probably be a bit of a deterrent. :rotfl:

Another £1.30 spent on bread today. Should have no spends until Tuesday now.
GC: £40 a week. Sticking to my budget, but never remembering to post in the relevant thread.
Probably buying toiletries that I don't need, as I can't resist a "bargain."

We were supposed to be having spag Bol tonight. Got it out of the freezer this morning, I have just looked at it and realised that it is sausage casserole! Oops! Will have to get better at labelling my batch cooking as it is difficult to work it out when they are frozen![/QUOTE]

When I did my batch cooking I would do that lol.now I just don't have any room in the freezers.but I must go back to doing it. The most I do now in soup for work.

I was naughty. Yesterday I saw a lot of discounts dated for today so went in just for YS items. I got 4 sandwiches around 18p each; 2 cauliflowers for 12p each, and triple pack of cheesecake for 18p. Total spend £1.25 from float, and another three days meals sorted!
