Hi skintmum. Maybe look on this month as a trial run regarding your budget. If you have to tweek it for next month don't worry. I bet you've still done better than you would have in a normal month.
To add your signature to your posts just click on user cp which is on the green bar at the top of here and down the left hand side you'll see control panel. Click on edit signature and it's here you can add and change your totals etc.

My budget runs from the 22nd to the 22nd and I'm going to have to be ultra frugal to keep within my budget this month.
To be fair included in my spends was a new buggy.
We'd taken DG out and his buggy was in my car but we only swapped over the baby car seat into OHs car as he was driving, and forgot the buggy, left it in my boot!!! Still it will come in handy, we can leave it at our house.
I have been poorly these last few days with a rotten virus!
Feeling slightly better but still achy :(
Florenceem I think I need some of your delicious home cooking to put me right :)

Spend of £2.15 today to get eggs for pancakes, made plenty for tonight and tomorrow and will still have eggs left for the rest of the week. Much cheaper than buying ready made and much nicer.

Shopping ordered for delivery on Sunday from as*a. Only £29.23 this week, which I'm pleased with. This includes some cleaning products, perishable foods (fruit, vegetables, sandwich things for mine and OH's packed lunches) as well as a packet of nappies, for the rest of this week and all of next week I plan to use up things from the freezer and cupboards.

Tonight - sausage casserole in sc, dint need to buy any thing.
Wed - pancakes, I'd already cooked casserole and realised it was pancake day so were having it tomorrow
    Thurs - chicken risotto
    Fri - chilli/ enchiladas
Sat - game pie (have game in freezer but first time I'll have cooked it, hope we like it.
Sun - roast beef and trimmings.
Mon chicken and one pan rice from old El Paso as I have a late meeting.
    Tue - beef curry
Wed - Spag Bol and garlic bread.
    Thurs - sausage and mash
Fri - chicken and pasta with pesto for OH, chilli and mushrooms for me/ pasata for LO
Sat - steak and home made chips
    Gammon roast dinner and trimmings.

All I need to buy is a garlic bread, have everything else in the bulging freezer. Luckily almost 2 year old will eat everything we eat. His favourites are sausage casserole and chicken curry

Sorry it's a long one, helps me to write it somewhere where I can't lose it x :rotfl:

Had to get a few things today from Sainsburys - spent £9.12

  • Feeling a bit peed off as I was interviewing all day off site, and we got a bill for £10.80 at the end of the day for the coffees we had all had during the day. I paid and then the other two interviewers said "oh thanks - we'll get them next time!" So I paid £10.80 for two coffees

Didn't make pancakes tonight but made the chicken and mushroom filling and had it on a crusty roll and it was lovely.
Ate about 5 Oreos after tea, which I had forgotten I'd bought so feel a bit sick now. Never mind, am giving up sugar for Lent tomorrow!

Another Grocery NSD. Though used up some milk for the pancakes so another day closer to needing to get a top up.
It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.
