Managed to spend another £23.92-impulse shopping:o
It was £36.90 but the difference was on cigarettes :o
I really need to stop smoking again-it's a really bad habit, it's expensive and it stinks...and I know all this so why can't I stop! Apart from...I'm stressed, depressed and it's a crutch at the moment.
I have a book by Alan Carr? I must start reading it and find my mojo to stop.
I know I can as Ive done it before-I just need to get myself in the right mindset!
    Sorry all. Rant over :o

I am going to make some pancakes today so will make them from stock and so can make it another NSD.
It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.

By the way, I can't remember who suggested breaking dishwasher tablets in half but THANKS whoever it was! I tried it yesterday and it worked just as well as the whole tablet. I have the ones with the ball and just used a knife to cut it in half. It's odd that I have never done that before- I have used less laundry detergent than the bottle says for years

Wish I hadn't just put the dish washer on awesome idea! Really looking forward to starting this challenge but my shopping day isn't until weekend for my first week but I'm planning ahead. :-)

I read the first post about buying a bread maker is it really that much cheaper? My nan had one and said it was really expensive because of all the little bits you had to buy but they loved the bread so they didn't mind.

Did think about disposable nappies originally I guess it sounds selfish with my Nan buying them I don't really think about cutting costs on nappies any more saying that I work at M*rrisons and she has my spare discount card...so shes probally spending as much as shes saving...balances out.:o

(Do we not say T*sco etc so it doesn't get picked up in google or something?)
People don't know what they want until you show them.

I have a bread maker and it does work out cheaper if you compare with bakery bread. I use Aldi flour, yeast and don't add sugar to the mix and it works out at about 50p for a large loaf of lovely crusty bread.

I use the bm to make dough of all kinds too - pizza base, brioche, rolls, etc.

I have a Panasonic which cost about £100.

Was hoping for NSD today but have succumbed to a bag of crisps at lunchtime. I am making chicken ham and mushroom pancakes for tea so I have all the ingredients in and shouldn't need to buy anything. I have never made stuffed pancakes before so hope they work out!
