Sainsbury's shop today - receipt says £13.80 but they refunded me 80p as some special offer soup wasn't coming up so at the tills.

A friendly reminder to GCers to check your receipts before you leave the shop. At least once a month so about 1 shop in 4 there is an error on my bill and always in their favour. Not had it once yet at Lidl tho.

    Good morning lovely people,

Bought milk last night £1.29 just to get through to Saturday morning.
Signature updated and £24.23 left to spend until the 28th (minus 5 days as we are away)..I might be able to get away with this small amount. Just.

I have to plan differently for next month. I think I have made to much for the freezer and left not enough for the top ups. On the other hand, I won't start next month with an empty freezer!

I know I should get a life but my meal plan for March is practically ready (in my defense I have got a LOT of time at work) ..and soon I will have to keep myself from planning for April! :wall:

    :rotfl:

    Have a good day!
Well done on the meal plan - that is way to be frugal.

I had planned a day out today, visiting several charity shops and a market I don't usually get to but the weather is dire, its the kind of day I would usually spend cosy in the kitchen doing baking but as I am doing a healthy eating challenge don't dare risk it as I would scoff the lot. So think I will organise another draw in the freezer instead and do some batch cooking for March.

Its made me realise how lucky I am to have the choice and I feel for those who have to go out when they don't want to.
I too am staying in the warm - Mr F has gone out shopping! He has a list - will he keep to it?

3 NSD so far but doing fine. Slowly emptying the fridge and freezer. So keeping busy and planning my meals for the rest of the month. Thinking of making a trifle, or two to use up the fruit.

£13.33 today on nappies for the month and a coffee/sandwich out as a treat, it was yummy!
  • Had to nip to ASDA on my lunch for a few bits following bf's new nutrition motivation from last night - technically I bought a few 'luxuries'/treats which aren't needed and as such I'm adding £3 to my budget and the remainder I'm taking from my personal budget as a sort of budgetary telling off!

I have £103.50 left. Quite delighted as most months I would be down into double figures by now. Can seemyselfmaking a conscious effort to reduce the amount I spend since joining this challenge - just what I need I think!

Have everything I need for the rest of the week apart from a couple of ingredients for the thai curry paste which I need to get from a certain shop when we go past at the weekend. :D
