Not been out at all again today so clocked up another NSD.
Will venture out though tomorrow though as taking mum shopping.
Cottage pie tonight, took forever to cook for some reason and used up the broccoli.
Well done on the chocolates ikesmummy - they look great.MARCH £62.38/2500 -
Another update - Dh took me out for bread tonight so did the rest of week's shops in Mr A*di as not sure what the weather will be like tomorrow. Just spent £14.95 and will have enough to last until we go away next week. Am liking the thread that gives ideas of what people do and don't like from L*dl and A*di - really helpful.
BMG our new favourite easy recipe/cheap is Corned beef hash - internet search for "Corned Beef Hash (cheap meal)" on the Beeb website. I made two yesterday ( one to eat and one to freeze) out of a large tin of cb from Home bags at £1.79, large onion, 2 tins beans and mashed potato. They are yum and just what you need on a cold and windy night like this.
Keep up the good work everyone.July 16 £95/£200

Another nsd for me today. Enjoyed some cooking for freezer making chicken casserole, some burgers and a mince and onion pie. Tomorrow will make bolognese and cottage pie. It definitely helps having meals prepared in advance when two little ones are running at your feet all the time. My ds is just about to turn one and has just started walking so likes to get his hands on everything in the kitchen and dd, 2 1/2 likes to help make the tea my trailing all her plates bowls etc out of the cupboards into the middle of the kitchen floor so having these meals mainly prepared is a huge help. Have only started doing it this month since joining the thread and getting lots of inspiration from you lot!
Will nip out to m&s tomorrow as treating ourselves to the valentines dine in for 2. We have a gift card from Christmas so this will cover it and get us cheese and crackers also. We had it last year and it was very good0 -
Spend of £8.89 today.
We had HM veggie casserole with herby dumplings + jacket potatoes for dinner. Got 3 tubs full to go in the freezer.
Also made an apple/pear crumble.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Ventured to Lid* today and spent £10.03 and got loads of bits and milk and bread.
Tea at DD3's tonight for youngest DGS 3rd birthday with the rest of the family. They'd made a lasagne and chicken curry and side dishes and it was lovely
Hospital earlier in the afternoon for more blood tests so tea out was just what I needed...I love my family
Wind is howling outside, I'd be surprised if there isn't some damage to the trees around us in the morning...will have to wait and see.
Hope everyone is safeA family that eats together, stays together

Been having trouble posting via phone, so finally got a chance to update on laptop; though i have been managing to update my sig.
Spends of £3.49 in M*rrisons yesterday; due to the fact that my cat food order from **plus still isn't here so i am having to constantly top up. Normally i wouldn't include it in my sig, but as it's been bought from the SM i've been adding it on.
AF order arrived yesterday too with lots of goodies in for half term; which we will spread out as trying to lose all the weight i have piled it back on ( previously lost two stone last year (tut tut). I've decided if there is anything worthwhile, i will place an order only when the DDs are due on school hols.
Today i spent £2.00 in Tesc* on two packs of Braeburn apples whilst still on offer. Some treats for the weekends in Bargain Madness; batteries, toilet roll and a few other bits totalling £6.13. Then finally in Lid* spent £8.47 on, bagels tuna, quorn pieces, leeks and raisins .... and almost forgot £1 in the C*-*p on 1% milk.
All this, cupboards are bulging and yet still need other bits from Asd*; but i will hang on as long as possible til we are desperate, or nip in after work Fri/before work on Sun if it isn't worth a big shop ... probably be more like Friday as want to take advantage of the Anchor puff pastry offer, as DD is wanting to make Mexican pie on Saturday.
So far i am on track, just under half way for half way through the month and i have reduced the budget by £20. If i hit target again this month, i wiill follow suite for March.
Off to bed now, to catch up on the thread on my phone.

I've added £1 for 3 Creme eggs which I bought after sending an eBay parcel, eating into my profit there!
Defrosted and heated left over Shepherd's pie mince for tea, with YS green beans from the day before yesterday, pleased with myself about this, mince was bulked out with carrot, onion and mushroom, made mash, such a comfort food.
We've all been invited out to be treated for a meal on Friday so that's a very welcome development x0 -
Hiya BLUEMOO. Thanks for the welcome back. Think these sites were the only things I missed really - certainly not the weather :rotfl:Pixie_Fairydust wrote: »Has anyone tried A!di nappies? I thought I would start to buy a few packets for my DGD due in May.

Another NSD, made my shopping list and decided nothing was urgent and could wait till at least tomorrow.
Dinner tonight is lo roast beef with oven fries and salad. Dessert is apple pie, with the first apples from the orchard, so exciting (well I have a very quiet life!).
Cheers
