Hi all!!!! Not much more de-cluttering done here as really haven't had much time. I have though kept the bathroom and kitchen tidy and not let the kids accumulate carp and mess in either!!! It is so much easier to keep clean if I sort the stuff each day. Actually feeling quite pleased with myself.
Still not got round to the pile of paperwork I have but that is my main job tomorrow night. Was going to do tonight but DD1 got biten twice and had to take to doctors as big red circles round bites and leg hurt. They are infected and she needed antibiotics, poor girl! By the time I got back from docs, sorted both girls out and dd2 went to bed it was nearly 9, so all I have done is my banking and washing up, but at least I've done that. Now off to bed and hopefully will report back tomorrow that the paperwork is done!!!! Nite nite all xx

Huzzah! Actually took the bag of food to the food bank today! Didn't manage to declutter much craft stuff, as I'm short some interfacing webbing (only have hem sized stuff) so need to go shopping again... :D I did declutter my kitchen cupboards to fit the new slow cooker in, and then decluttered some baking ingredients whilst I was at it! Decluttered is going to Mums, for her to have a look through, and if she doesn't want any of it, off to the charity shop. It turns out I have two madeleine tins, a whole host of chocolate molds, several of the same size flan tin and two odd sized sandwich tins. And a spare set of scales. Slimmed down the baking stuff and it now fits in one under bed crate instead of two (very small kitchen with 2 cupboards!)
Very pleased with my little session yesterday, posting on here and reading what other people have done is very helpful!

Only cluttering done today was papers. 'filed' on/in cookery books. Most of it recycled and the rest needs filing. Every little helps!!!!

I gutted our bedroom yesterday and boy did it feel good! Every inch of it has been cleaned and hoovered. All the 'stuff' that gets dumped in there has been sorted and tidied away in it's proper place. I ended up with a small bag of rubbish and a large carrier bag of recycling as well as a couple of small bits that are now in the selling pile.

OH sold about 10 more of his films which have now been collected/posted.

I used to make nappy cakes up until last year and have 2 large plastic tubs of supplies. A work colleague of OH's is off on paternity leave at the mo and I have a bag of new useful items to declutter into his hands when he comes back to work :)

The DD's are keeping on top of their room very well the past few weeks, they have a bin and a separate bag for recycling which they empty on a weekly basis. They will also bring me any little toys etc they no longer want instead of stuffing them under the bed to 'sort later'.

Think we'll tackle the stack of shoes/sandals/boots cluttering up the bottom of my wardrobe to see which still fit, what can be passed to DD2, what can go to weigh in and CS.

I have much more of my wedding sorted and have a large colour coded (!) master to do list which has helped greatly, ni1ce to see things being ticked off. Feeling more organised with this has helped take the pressure so now I feel happier about the house situation. Over all things are looking much tidier in every room :)

    Hi all,

I tried searching but didn't come up with specifics unfortunately. For piles of old dvds/cds what have you guys used? I've heard of music magpie but also heard it offers you pennies. Anyone tried ebay and get better results? Any alternatives? CEX?

    Thanks

it depends what you have. Harder to find and new CDs do alright on ebay, and things like older Now That's What I Call Music CDs do particularly well. If you have time, do a search on ebay completed listings to see what things go for on average.

Music Magpie in my experience pays more than Zapper, but are slower to pay. I haven't used Cex.
