Been to CS with my 3 bin bags of no longer needed items. I am registered for gift aid there, so they'll make a bit extra from sales. My hall looks better now they've gone.
Off to Sainsbugs in a bit, just waiting for crowds to die down first. I need bread, milk, etc. I don't need Christmas puds. Bought 6 lovely ones reduced to £1 each. They'll keep.
Keep going with the de-cluttering all, I have a few more sessions planned yet.

Afternoon all,
I have not posted here before, but I am an avid reader of OS money saving, and take great pleasure in catching up on posts here.
I put all the Christmas decorations away today, but kept out one beautiful 3D card we were sent, and have candles lit in front of it - to keep the memory of those we have lost who couldn't be with us burning right until Epiphany.
Whilst cooking I cleaned out all my kitchen cupboards/drawers,
and popped all the metal tins I was hoarding into the recycle bin,
The dodgy utensils I have gathered over the 3 years since moving went into a bag for charity,
Old aprons that are beyond repair have gone into the cleaning rag bag, and actually found a new Burts Crisps one I forgot I had,
All those odds and ends that you end up keeping too, bits of piping? and some nozzle ends (which off my old hoover) went too!
Going to brave the notice board next! Needs clearing off for new year.
I am determined to cull this year, and stop keeping things for the sake of it!
Rachael xWishing you all good luck!

I've had a busy day on the sofa after finally getting a chance to watch Fownton Abbey. I can now say I'm really enjoying it and can see why people get into it.
I did force my self off the sofa to tackle some old clothes in storage.
So,
112-138 clothing donated to cs, mum or recycled. Found this surprisingly ok as I had been putting it off. The clothes were from a time when I was thinner and haven't been worn in five years. I am focusing on the happiness in the present and my lovely bf needs space for his clothes to hang up. So out with the past and move into now and into our future. So far, quarter of a closet is free.No buying toiletries Graduated May 2017Decluttered 2016 2469 items, 2017 1580 items :j2018 3060 itemsSealed Pot Challenge No 0380 -

Happy new year all0 -
Have just cleared out my winter drawer.
Can't believe how many wool tights I have!
Have decided to get rid of most of them.
Anyone got any craft ideas for what I could do with them rather than bin them?0 -
Decluttering is getting harder and harder as my house is becoming more and more empty.:rotfl:
One thing I can get rid of today is the bottles from the wine and beer we had over Christmas.:o:DHOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000

I've been through my daughter's colouring and craft bits and pieces this morning. How many colouring books and pencil cases does one child need? She has put aside a LOT to go, so I have recycled the worst (a huge pile) and kept the best to pass to a friend.
Also moved some furniture this morning in my bedroom which has created some room, and I got rid of a bag of rubbish to the bin at the same time.0 -
I'm looking to empty a couple of drawers under a wardrobe, one is mainly old birthday cards which is easy enough, the other has 5 or 6 old work blouses that I'm reluctant to get rid of as there such good quality, but I have no actual use for them...cant wear them or give away as they have a company logo on (hardly a desirable one either!)
Need to bite the bullet there methinks, I'm trying to whittle down the amount of cloths I have so I don't want to go down that road!0 -
