  • I have been really rubbish for months and hardly decluttered anything :o

On a roll today though, and sorted out the black hole of my bedroom - a three shelf storage unit thing - and managed to get rid of about 10 items from that, plus put another 20 or so onto the ever growing ebay pile. Hate the whole 20 free listings a month thing. It's so stingy!! I could do 20 a day and my ebay pile would probably still be there at Christmas

Also put two pairs of shoes, a dish and about 5 books into the charity shop bag. Hopefully I can carry on like this for the next few months and actually have a tidy flat!
  • 11. signed book by claire balding - cs
    12. cardi I made for a friends little one - delivered
    13. borrowed book - returned to owner

need to sell some nappies that smallest person has either grown out of or refuses to wear - no more babies in this house!:rotfl: (especially as I have just bought some more today.....)

also need to sell some slings and babywearing coats - easy enough to list on fb pages, just need to get round to doing it.....

I have also bought some more cycling gear today, so I need to go through and sort out what if anything I can get rid of the old stuff.

    Off the kitchen window ledge:
    - bubble wand - plastic recycling
    - set of coasters - CS bag
    - storage tin (faded) - recycling
    - novelty bottle - recycled
I had walked past this little collection for so long I had stopped seeing it :o

    - another hanger, recycled
    - another pencil stub - binned
    - O/D bottle of buck's fizz - bottle recycled
    - 2 pairs of DH's too-large trousers, a pair of mine and a shirt to fabric recycling
    - 3 bird ornaments - CS bag
    - 3 pictures - CS bag
    - mobile phone cable for a phone we no longer own - electrical recycling skip
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.
  • I'm not doing much of a major de-cluttering. Just wee bits when it needs done. Like paper shredding, cardboard/plastic going into recycling bin. It gets done there & then & not hoarding it for a few weeks/months. Occasional check through the wardrobes/drawers if anything needs thrown out.
And not much items/items coming into the house. Unless I really need it. Which for me, I think helps.
Did sell a vinyl LP last week on Amazon.
And one pair of boots were binned. Past it & wasn't even worth taking them to CS either.
  • I've been looking at getting rid of the endless amounts of plastic tubs and boxes we have for storing food, mostly acquired from pound land or the local takeaway, that were useless, didn't seal, the correct lids are hiding, break easily etc.

Anyway I was eyeing up a couple of sets of lock n lock boxes on amazon to replace them, when I found some in Morrisons, more sizes than the sets and almost half the price too!

So a carrier bag full (about 20 in all) of boxes and lids in the bin and replaced by 7 shiny matching new ones. Today is a good day at PoD towers :D

    Also out -

Old shower curtain had gone bit manky and was dark so sucked all the light out of the bathroom, replaced by a lovely white one.

Two birthday presents and another wrapped to go out that I've been hoarding, how annoying to have to wait until the anniversary of people's birth to give them away! ;)

I rearranged and organised a bit more this evening. I've thrown away a few pens and pencils, an old bottle of brown sauce at the back of the store cupboard, some packaging has gone in the recycling bin outside and I threw away the last of the sugar in the container and refilled it with the new bag.:)

That reminds me that mine has gone a bit manky and I might try and clean that in diluted bleach tomorrow.

I am struggling to think of what to do with the Christmas tree I got my son to drag out of the loft. Unfortunately now we have had the new settees in the living room the thing wont fit up the corner. Its getting a bit shabby now anyway so ive decided the bin men can have it piece by piece. Maybe a handful of branches each collection.... by Christmas the thing might be gone.:rotfl:
