Hello! I'm in for the remainder of the year
I have been very inspired by some of the writing on this site http://www.becomingminimalist.com/becoming-minimalist-start-here/
1. Pair of kids shoes for cs0 -
Thanks for the link mamaninie... I have been reading minimalist sites lately and they are inspiring...
As for me, I have got rid of too much stuff to count, and there is still too much to go. But we are getting there.0 -
Changed our clothes over this weekend, partly due to weather and partly because the weight losses continue and DH can't keep his trousers up
I am now up to 6 bags of clothing to take to recycling, having added 30 garments and discarded assorted underwear. I have turned some of DH's t-shirts into strips for my pending rag-rug and cut down some of his long cotton PJ bottoms into shorts.
I have another pile of garments for eBay, but shall count them as they are sold.
Binned 5 sachets of hot chocolate (OD) and put aside in-date tins/ food items for the Harvest collection for the food bank.
DH has nearly finished repainting our 30 year old dark oak dresser with F&B Dimity paint so I have added 19 items of china etc to the CS box.
Printer cartridge recycled to Tesco for points.
Assorted packaging, receipts etc recycled.
Still have not made much progress in the attic room, beyond sorting out what will go - shall probably need help to make it all happen.

Spent part of yesterday replacing the paper on top of the kitchen cupboards with pink, fairy printed gift wrap :money:
Decluttered:
- another biscuit tin recycling
- another glass recycling
- a cupcake baking machine CS
- a wire cupcake stand (from DDs wedding three years ago) CS
Went through the herbs, spices and baking bits - 3 rather OD items and some crumpled cake papers binned.
I took everything off the top shelf whilst I was up the ladder. Oh dear, stuff gets pushed to the back and it is out of sight and usually unreachable as the cupboards are high, I am not and DH does not notice. 5 more opened packets into the food waste. I changed the layout of the cupboard to prevent this happening again.
A small basket, three dead biros and a pencil stump in the bin.
Two OD toiletry items emptied and the packaging recycled.
One book and a bag to CS box.
DH's giant shirt to fabric recycling.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
huge load of chopped wood given away on freecycle. we are swapping our conifers for a fence so have logs and branches for locals with fires. just needs dying out for a while so if they are happy to store they get free firewood.
tatty old facias soffits and guttering all down and taken away along with the battered ariel that served no purpose other than for gulls and starling to roost on, it was so loose and wobbly i was convinced if a fat pigeon sat on it it would fall down. anyway soffits people took it down and the tv still works through the sky dish without it so its gone to the tip in their van
shiny new gutters facias etc are almost all fitted the end ones just need to be finished off tomorrow morning.SPC~12 ot 124
