  • 2 amazon sales posted this afternoon. One was ready yesterday to post & then had another sale in the early hours this morning. So thats another couple of cds gone :D
  • Just a quick update because I am so on a roll! Sock drawer done, underwear drawer done, bottom drawer with god knows what in it - DONE. And then…First Aid box done and re-organised into a plastic container with separate containers in it which are now all marked with the tablets they contain…Another area of the house that completely stresses me out. Everytime I want a tablet I have to take the whole basket out, go through it and then put it back. I have no idea what I have, I think I need more of stuff. I have enough paracetamol I have realised to start a shelf in the supermarket. It's just lovely sorting stuff out, sorting out the headaches, lol x

I'm reading about great motivation on here; well done to everybody, it sounds like fantastic progress being made.

I've had a really busy weekend away at my sister's home to visit with them and mum - so have had 'time off' from my own decluttering :D.

However, sis and I did 'as many USEFUL items that you can buy for £15 - must be appropriate for the recipient and/or OH' for Christmas pressies this year. I've come back from there with lots of 'takeaway style containers' / freezer bag clips / freezer bags with gusset bases for liquids amongst other useful items :rotfl:. We must be so much alike, that we bought almost identical items for each other ;). At least, I can now dump all my old margarine containers that I currently use for freezing casseroles / soups etc :j.

Just want to repeat congratulations to everybody and to say 'Keep Up The Good Work' :T.

Off to work today, so no decluttering.

Had a rummage in the freezer last night and have loads of unidentified leftovers in there. This year anything going in there will be labelled and dated. Off tomorrow so going to sort through and do some meal plans.

    Happy decluttering everyone.

OK so the sideboard laughed at me when I opened the doors, I didn't know where to start. My home is as clean and tidy as it can be working full time but what lies beneath is just a little bit overwhelming. However I decided I would start on the smaller stuff, so I de-cluttered my bathroom.

Hmm there was not a lot to throw out I recycled a couple of my husbands empty deodorant cans and I was ruthless with about 6 bottles of shampoo / conditioner with dregs in the bottom. The rest of the de-clutter was discovering how much dry shampoo, deodorant, nairn hair remover, almond soap, sanctuary body wash, toothpaste and razor blades we have. They are all neatly back in the cupboards but with a view to being very MSE as it will be a while before I need to purchase any more of this stuff.

We also packed up all of the xmas decs, recycled the xmas cards and gave a set of tree lights to our daughter. These are now in the loft along with all of the wrapping paper I bought in the sales and about 11 gift bags that will be recycled next year. Oh and four or five 2014 xmas presents I bought in the sales. I don't seem to be too good at de-cluttering :o

My car is next I will just have to ensure that I don't end up bringing the contents of my boot into the house. This will also be MSE as I will save petrol with a much lighter load. :)

  • I so need to join in with this. We are going to have our bedroom completely redecorated and new furnture put in. At the moment we have a double wardbrobe, 2 bedside cabinets and a chest of drawers that came with my DH (we've been there 7 years) and a clothes rail in the corner. Most of our clothes are piled up on the floor. I have so many clothes I could probably wear something different everyday for a year (if it all fitted) and DH has more black band t-shirts than all of Iron Maiden put together. I also have a load of smellies and beauty products I don't use. I plan to eBay what I can, charity shop what I can't, use what I can and bin the rest. I'm particularly bad for hoarding clothes, so this will be tough and I must be strict. Hopefully once I've done the bedroom I can de-clutter the other rooms too.

I'd like to join you all. I have so much stuff in the house and the office! My plan is to start with books - which are every where in the house. I want to sell as many as possible and then give to friends and CS the rest. I made a start last night. Sold one straight away on Amazon. I'm going to give myself a target of 100 items a month.

So Books first and then cloths - I have three different sizes! I also hope to decluter some weight and get back into the middle size. Really inspired by what I've read so far.

Six lovely Per Una cardigans washed and drying ready to go to CS. Haven't worn them for about 3 years. Time to be realistic and ruthless.

    Christmas cards recycled too.
