how a seller delivers goods is nothing to do with ebay
regards
No, but the feedback is if you're selling through ebay. Bad feedback for a business on any site is not good. Sellers should be making sure buyers are happy, not saying I'll do what's best for me and if they don't like it who cares. The way you deliver an item has an affect and the feedback from that has an affect.0 -

so, its only a parcel, if folk wont be pleased then you have a moral duty to yourself to make your life easier.

Again, not good customer service. Fair enough, if nothing you can do will please the buyer you do what's best for you but otherwise you shouldn't.
Even as a private seller you shouldn't just do what's best for you and upset the buyer. You may not sell items all the time, but for that one item it's still up to you to be a good seller and make sure the buyer's happy.
As a business seller, it's not "only a parcel". It's your business. That one parcel is part of your business and if anything goes wrong or the buyer isn't happy with it it has a bad affect on the business. Keep doing that with parcels and you won't have a business long.0 -

if a buyer wont yield to your way of doing things then just refuse to sell to them, or overcharge them and still hand deliver, they will soon get the message and just accept your methods, or, bump the price up 30% and give them a 20% discount, like most sales, customers are usually baffelled or greedy.

Or leave negative feedback which could in the long run hurt your business/selling prospects.0 -

It's easy for me to say as I haven't got TRS status to keep, but the above buyer made an unreasonable post sale demand and indulged in some feedback extortion. I would have canceled the sale and applied for any negative feedback to be removed.
Yeah, that's I what I do now. Don't take any crap any more.
But its got much easier to get feedback removed now. Back then I had NEVER been successful - and would do anything to make sure the buyer was happy.0 -

no its only short term is feedback, calculated over a few months to give a average percentage, and it can be easily removed, just tell them you would rather discuss the matter in person on anything less than 100% positive.0 -

Some people do look at negative feedback and it can potentially hurt sales.
If sellers have no respect for the customers then those buyers will look elsewhere.0 -
