Heh...
You may be underestimating the maintenance costs of a Mrs McT.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

Why do you think you haven't seen me around Hertfordshire lately;)?
Though sadly my bet that the £/$ would stay at $1.70 didn't come to pass. I'm blaming the Scottish referendum. It was hunky dory until September. Shame. That one would really have helped the tifosi family finances. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? And another...
I'm pretty pleased with that lot! Basically I got closer to the actual numbers by being more optimistic.
We can do 2015 in a couple of weeks but I think that next year will be considerably better than 2014 seeing the recovery in the US and UK really bed in as peripheral Europe becomes stronger. Bad year for France and Germany I fear.0 -
No mention of Bitcoin or other crypto-currencies?
That's really strange considering their phenomenal rise in 2013 and potential for future growth.
... or is it just house prices and meaningless statistics that matter?
Well, if you insist....Bitcoin is down about 70% from its peak late last year. Talk about a real 'store of wealth'. :rotfl:
You'd been better off investing in rubles. :rotfl:Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0 -

I doubt that there will be excitement at the potential economic dividends here.
Poland started spending and taxing the industry before the first wells were producing so the industry said FU and moved away. Now they are trying to get the frackers back but they played and showed their hands far too early (let them start the industry and then we will hike taxes abd royalties hehehee....oh rly?)
Same thing is kinda happening in the UK woth promises of sovereign funds and dosh for locals etc. Idiots.0 -

Its roughly 12%.
Electricity/www.nei.org/Knowledge-Center/Nuclear-Statistics/World-Statistics/World-Nuclear-Generation-and-Capacity[/url]
It has fallen as a percentage as power hungry nations have increased Electricity production but not nuclear. Eg china has added about as much electricity use as the USA plus EU combined but has no nuclear to show for it. But it will probably install 200 reactors over the next 15-25 years to bring itself up towards 20-30% nuclear which should pull worldwide nuclear output up.
India is the real nuclear potential. If she doesn't have gigantic coal or NG reserves she will be forced to import energy on a massive scale. That means $200B of coal imports or $300B of NG imports or $10B of yellowcake imports. Simply put india cant afford to import colossal amounts of coal or NG but yellowcake imports would be affordable. So unless india finds some big coal/NG deposits pronto its only choice is nuclear ir accept an energy constrained growth0 -
I'm predicting 70% off by next Christmas. It's a bold statement I know.0
