Glad everyone affected by the floods is gradually getting back to normality *hugs*

Well I've not done much else as we had to go to an Induction evening at my son's school he moves up to in September. I can't believe we had to sit through a ten minute introduction only to have to wait a whole hour for our appointment with his personal tutor. He was bored stiff and miserable by the time he met with her, and it showed. He didn't crack a single smile :(

Anyway, one chinese takeaway and a washing up session later, here is my finalised list for the day:

Tuesday Living Room, Hall and Stairs
(I counted hall in with yesterday since it is tiled like the kitchen, but I'll count Landing in with stairs to make up for it.)

    Level 1

[strike]Dusting and cobweb removal (if you want to dust round things that is fine)[/strike]
    Level 2
[strike]Vacuum floors and sofas[/strike] actually only vacuumed Living room, will try to do stairs and landing on wednesday.
[strike]Remove clutter[/strike] making sure stairs especially are safe (we have two flights, the one to the kids' rooms and attic is cluttered to one side but I plan to get that removed by tonight or in the morning
[strike]Clean window[/strike] yay they were still clean so I wiped with vinegar water and polished with newspaper
[strike]Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets[/strike]]
    Level 3
[strike]Wipe light switches[/strike] and banister bannister is grimy, will try to do that [strike]later[/strike] Wednesday
[strike]Clean any other glass like mirrors etc[/strike]
    [strike]Tidy shoes, coats and bags[/strike]
[strike]Vacuum under furniture (only if you won't hurt yourself doing it, don't want any injuries)[/strike]
    Extra Mission:
Pick one or more of the following tasks –
    • [strike]Clear one hotspot [/strike]
    • Sort towel cupboard/airing cupboard even if it's just for 10 minutes it's actually quite tidy so I am not worried.
    • Wipe the leaves of your plants the plant in the bathroom can wait :)
    • [strike]Sort through any magazines or paperwork lying around [/strike]
I forgot to add my little extras:
cleaned the Living room door and frame which were fingerprint and tea stained.
Tightened the screws on the footstool
Almost mastered Lucy Saxon's hairstyle from last saturday night's Doctor Who :p and wore it to induction evening - yay for looong hair :)

    Hello all,

Glad to see that most of you are doing so well, sending good vibes to all of those who aren't too peachy.

LowRob - too right! The website's a nightmare, I never know what I'm supposed to be doing when. If cleaning involves any sort of decision-making from me, I'd rather not clean at all...and that's how I ended up here! :rotfl:

Hev, good luck chick, it sounds like you could do with a rest. I suggest sunshine and veggies for your body (and if you can stomach it, the dreaded liver!!! eeeewwwwww!) and a water pistol for the cat. He he he. ;)

I should be flying as opposed to typing, but I never get to post any more and am feeling positively lonely without you guys, so stuff it, I'll take a day off and chat instead.

Gosh, I hope things are improving now pigpen, we've been really lucky down here, just wet shoes and grateful roses (mine was at least, I keep forgetting that I have one, so it doesn't get watered!).

Right, I have Owen's lunch to make while Freya's having a kip, so I'm off to create a culinary masterpiece. Cheese sandwiches and a bag of crisps...in his dreams! I find that playschool is the best place to give him fruit and veg - he either eats it, or starves and he's a sensible young man, the bag comes back empty every time!

newones011.jpg[/IMG] Sorry, but I couldn't help myself! She can now manage the most important emotional expressions. She starts with a smile, then shows surprise and finally realises that she's actually quite bored. :p
  • just poppin to check todays list and saw photos - maralum - Freya is sooooo beautiful - thanks for sharing them.

What fantastic pics :D she is beautiful, what a lovely start to the day, thank you :)

well I hope I can leave the village today as we need milk, bread and butter! My sis got some great pics of the flood and it was fun watching the trucks and 4x4's going through the floods. They were the onlt hings that could get through.

Kitchen gradually drying out here, reckon on another week for the floor to be totally dry

Right better go and get brekkie with the milk that is left for the kids (kept enough milk back for my first coffee ;) )

    See you all later

  • Hev - my heart goes out to you. I'm in a similar position, and find the support of this thread invaluable - even just leaving a post saying I've done nothing makes me feel as though I've achieved something!
Maralum - what a beautiful girl - I'm in love! I think she would make the perfect bride for my little Charlie - we can start discussing dowry terms whenever you like. Oh - and I promise faithfully to be a GOOD mother-in-law.
Anyway - today is a good day (so far!). We are breakfasted, the boys are dressed, DW on, I am showered, their packed lunches are made (I'm with Maralum on this one: i manage to cram in at least 3 of their 5-a-day and I'm seldom disappointed).
OK smug feeling over - we have a moisturiser incident (maybe I should just list this into my dailies...).
    Is it home time yet?
  • Oh no - where is Wednesday? Are you OK, lil-me?
