oh no.. more rain!!! *CRY*
Can we have sunshine vibes please?
the one shop that sells frozen food is practically empty..honestly you'd think it was a famine that was threatened the way people are carrying on.. it'll all be back to normal by the end of the week.. they are nuts.. I hope they have a power cut lol!! We have enough pasta and baked beans for 3 weeks so we'll be fine *grin* might be beaned and pasta'd out by the end of the second week but we'd not starve!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
We heard that our car has been written off
So sorry, Pollybear. Hope insurance covers, and that you get a lovely replacement.
Well, yesterday DS said 'Gak' to Boots Own Bacon & Beans and decorated the living room. Today he decided he really really liked the Heinz Egg Custard with Rice and made even more mess! He grabbed the spoon and swung...
I'm well ahead in my dailies, just need to get dusting!
Still thinking of you Dusty

Afternoon all :hello: Just popped in quickly to see what I need to do
The answer is everything still :rotfl:
I've been to Asda and spent £20  BUT we have meat and reduced items we'll useAlso bought a big sports bottle (summer eating area
) for 70p which I've just decanted olive oil into - who needs those flash ceramic/glass containers at something like £3, that I've been looking for? :money:
I've defrosted my freezer, just letting it cool down again before I put the food back in it along with scrunched up newspaper to pad it out and fill all the gaps so it will work more efficiently. Just wish it would stop making banging noises
Our bed is stripped and 1st load (heavy blanket) is in - making the most of the "nice" weather we have here, read chilly, windy and more like September than June  But at least we're not flooded!
Oh, and I'm in the process of "weeding" the pavement area in the garden - with boiling water. No more weedkillers here :money::D
Right, off to wash the dishes & then put the stuff in the freezer then I might whip the hoover out and do downstairs.... :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Pigpen they said it would not rain today - they lied!! cloudy and windy here but no rain - wishing it away for you.
I often wonder how long people could survive using up their supply cupboard/freezers etc. we'd run out of and miss milk, veg, fruit, cheese pretty quick but the rest could last a good while; probably would be good to make people use up stuff rather than through it away.
Not feeling any different, fine when sitting down but then just have little flying bursts. Today is the first day that I really feel the weeks of flylady has paid me back. House looks good all over and I feel fine just hoovering what I can see and wiping round knowing that it was all done thoroughly last week and will be again next week.
DS3 starts swimming lessons tonight, not looking forward to sitting inside a swimming pool but he is so excited. Taking DS1 with me so that he can oik him out if necessary. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

ok I'm done - Tuesday is the easiest flying day for me really.
Just got a couple more piles of paper to go though whilst sitting down later (is Anthea on tonight?). Guessing tomorrow is study day so will deal with that paperwork tomorrow when then grand garage sort out is due to take place - may call in sick.
See you all later xThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I have not got any flying done yet today. I have at least done my dailies but the living room and stairs really need a good going over. I have had to do a bit of work today (makes a change) it is really busy and I need the money so flying will have to wait. Just having a little break before I get going again. My ears get sore from the headphones after a while (I am an audiotypist). Also internet was off earlier so now have to make up the time that I lost this morning . When I spoke to pipex they said "it looks like you lost connection 126 times in the last month, can that be right?" I said yes that sounds about right. I have had trouble with it since I switched in January.
Well best get back to it now I have caught up. Hopefully will be able to finish(start) flying later.0 -
How naive am I?!:rotfl:
I'm feeling quite shattered energywise. I have been working in the Living room, got lots done but then I had to lie down for a nap for half an hour. I woke up this morning with a streaming nose and am another who is dosing up on echinacea today. I hate it when colds seem to start just when I have work I want to get on with! Anyway, posting list - if I achieve nothing more I feel I have done well.
Oh no - is it kids' rooms tomorrow? Help! They are really bad at the moment despite it being set in stone that they have to keep them tidy to earn their pocket money
Tuesday Living Room, Hall and Stairs
(I counted hall in with yesterday since it is tiled like the kitchen, but I'll count Landing in with stairs to make up for it.)

Level 2
[STRIKE]Vacuum floors and sofas[/STRIKE]

[STRIKE]Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets[/STRIKE]]

My Great Grandfather used to taste any medicine that came into the house (pre WW2 days) and if it didn't taste vile, he would not allow it as it was obviously not going to do you good :rotfl:
Could do with some jollop - feel v tired and a little dizzy. I suppose I am going to have to take the iron tablets I was given when I left hospitalBut we all know what iron tablets do to the system, don't we!
Still pleased with what I have achieved today - done Level One, washing hung out, DS loved.
I think I will concentrate on my cross stitch for a little while (DS permitting)
