Hello all,
I still have to clean the fridge from yesterday and mop the floor
I still won't have to do in the hallway as OH is still decorating, I was going to do the bookcase which is there but covered over with a dust sheet (old duvet actually) but only just got home.
OH will tell me to leave it :T
Level 1
Dusting and cobweb removal (if you want to dust round things that is fine)
Level 2
Vacuum floors and sofas
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
Clean window - Did this last week, I'll wash the windowsill, if its not raining
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
Level 3
Wipe light switch
Clean any other glass like mirrors etc
Vacuum under furniture (only if you won't hurt yourself doing it, don't want any injuries)
Extra Mission:
Pick one or more of the following tasks –- Clear one hotspot - this will be to tie up outdoor toms after rain.

Could do with some jollop - feel v tired and a little dizzy. I suppose I am going to have to take the iron tablets I was given when I left hospital
But we all know what iron tablets do to the system, don't we!
You really should take your iron but the best thing is natural alternatives, green veg - the darker the better, and avoid tea (and diet coke) as the tannin stops you absorbing the iron so well. I also have been told that making sure you have plenty of vitamin C helps you absorb the iron.
I cannot talk as DD was born in Jan and I have not been taking my iron very frequently:o. I was on 4 a day during the pregnancy and was not allowed to give birth in the birthing centre. I know that I am not as low as I have been before though but could probably do with taking a few at the mo as I do feel rather tired. It is hard to know what is down to iron (or lack of) and what is to do with have a baby!
How old is your DS?0 -
Oh, and I'm in the process of "weeding" the pavement area in the garden - with boiling water. No more weedkillers here
That sounds like my kind of gardening! How often do you need to do it? Does it kill everything or only little soft weeds? Even in between the paving I have GINORMOUS weeds. Seems odd to be pouring MORE water on the garden when so many people are suffering in the floods ... but i'm sure Pigpen will understand that it's in a good cause.
Actually it's not a garden it's a more of a wild life sanctuary. Saw a lovely big sleek rat yesterday hanging about under the bird feeder.
Does anyone know someone who's very keen on rats, recently got an extra cage and could maybe take this one and give it a good home? And possibly is called S******Park?0 -
Would just like to say that my landlady just rang to ask if she could pop round in an hour and instead of me either lying and saying I would not be in or having to do a mad rush to put toys away and have a quick sweep round to tidy up, I am now sitting here waiting for her to arrive and not being worried about the state of the house:j
Not even got any washing up to be done.
Thank you all for the motivation, would not have done it without you all.:T0 -
Children are set on the task of clearing the front room while I cook dinner.. no floor no food... simple!!! Not that food is seen as a reward for a task.. because they will get fed anyway.. but they can tidy with me yelling at them and get food after the room has been tidied and the food cooked or they can do it unsupervised and eat at a reasonable time.. no brainer really if they are hungry!
The kitchen needs a S&S but other than that it is looking pretty reasonable.. for my kitchen anyway!
Right.. yelling it is by the sounds of it.. obviously they aren't hungry!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Pigpen love your style of parenting - it matches mine.
Hev I took for liquid supplement called floradix or something like that after DS1 - it tasted vile- so we know what that means but it did not have any other affects. Egg yolks are a good source of iron too but you do need the vit c to absort it so have a boiled egg and a satsuma afterwards.
DS3 loved his swimming lesson and DS1 was pleased to come too. I found a free swim ticket I had in the reward pack from their Nationwide savings account so it did not cost me for him to join in.
Right need to do DS3 reading and DS1 has homework - to research the James Bulger case - odd topic but I guess important.
DS2 at cricket match. May be back later if not see you all tomorrowThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Well I got practically nothing done - but the boys survived nursery and we actually had a lovely afternoon, and I do feel tonnes better than I did this morning and even huger amounts better than I did yesterday. So tomorrow I will DO whatever is on the list, ignoring downstairs as much as I can and do my last load of paid ironing tonight - then it is going to have to be another of those things that has to be given up until things are better. Nursey chap is coming to see me on Thursday morning and psychiatrist is coming to see me on Monday so hopefully I'll be able to have a fix of something! this is from a girl who wouldn't have any pain relief during childbirth, has only had antibiotics once in the last 20 years and has managed to avoid any chemical nasty since I was let loose on the big wide world. Hey ho - I'm sure there is a relevant parable out there somewhere!
So sorry to hear of everyone suffering with floods - if I lived within any kind of distance I'd be there with my mop...Is it home time yet?0 -

newmrslockwood... I spend too much time on here!!!
The sun has FINALLY come out.. so things are drying quickly now.. the water level has dropped about 8 inches by the looks of things and our resident blackbird family have had a fantastic feast of worms and slugs and bugs from the sodden garden.. I am surprised they can still fly!
Bed time now!! WOOHOO!!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
