Just quickly checking in while i watch the news and have lunch. I'm glued to the news still at the minute, and slightly worried about my family in Doncaster, as some of them are near the latest floodings.
Not a lot i can do though from here. I've decided to stay at home as muich as possible to minimise the risk of not being able to get back
Wednesday 27/6:
[strike] Check weather report to see where floods are
If possible, pack baby bag and go to playgroup[/strike]going to take baby to clinic instead as he hasn't been for a month. Then i might have a clear road by Friday and go to that playgroup roof had leaked anyway so it was shut. Piglet now weighs 21Ib 14oz. My 4yo nephew only weighs 30 pounds, so perhaps i should stop feeding him
[STRIKE]Deal with post[/STRIKE]
Make baby bottles
[STRIKE]Relist stuff to sell on amazon[/STRIKE]
Make some baby meals
[STRIKE]Wash at least 1 load of Charlie’s things[/STRIKE]
Unpack rest of clean clothes
Wash my hair
Do some ironing (10 items at least)
[STRIKE]Check airers/take off dry clothes/fold and put away[/STRIKE]
Make a dentist appointment
Wrap friends baby pressie
Make stew for dinner
[STRIKE]Pay bills and check current account[/STRIKE]
Make a shopping list for internet order
Make a meal plan for July
Not a bad start, although i now i am thoroughly distracted. Will do a bit more when Charlie has his next nap. Don't want to move too far from him cos he is sat up, but keeps wobbling, and then crawling off sniper style near the hinge on the TV cabinet and i have visions of blood and me not being able to get to the hospital. Anyway, going to have a catch up with the thread.

Hi everyone,
Today's list done but know how lil_me feels - pegged out duvet and pillows then was too engrossed in thread to notice torrential downpour  . Have taken DS2 to playgroup and walked to Aldi whilst out and had to stagger back with bags. Going to make more choccie hobnobs and muffins for school fayre on Friday and Cullen Skink and Fruit Crumble for tea before picking him up, if I can tear myself away.
DS1 gone on school trip (only mild/moderate panic at moment following last nights news of boy who died at Felbrigg Hall!) and DD doing sponsored walk for school (Yr6 buy a leaving gift for school with sponsor money) so hope it only showers/stays fine.
Sorry you are feeling  to Hev and HAHWMB, have been there so can sympathise totally, friends helped me and I don't see why virtual friends can't do the same.
Thanks for the warning about the postal strike and great tips on getting iron into folks without any side effects.
Is it an OU course lil_me? I did MST121, MS221 and MST207 a few years back so if I can help.... seems only fair, you've helped me. That's why I'm here, I needed to get re-organised for my new course in September after a couple of years off. Really looking forward to it.
Kitchen calling, happy flying to everyone and a flapping welcome to Lauren.

Hi Lauren
It's my first week here too - so far so good. I've gone a bit mad and gone far beyond the recommended Level One for beginners, bit silly with this cold threatening which is making my asthma flare up especially with the dust clouds rising lol.
I've done very little so far today -just sorted out some papers covering the desk in our bedroom. Filed most of them away and had to sort out a load of offers that have been flooding in for our endowment policy. I'm going to file them safely or they'll get lost. I've written on the outside of each what the offer is so I don't have to open the envelopes, and the emailed ones I am writing on a reminder letter envelope from the company we hold the policy with (CIS). So far the highest firm offer is £1450.60 over what the surrender value is.
Hubby got home lunchtime and I stopped for lunch. Now have washed dishes up and watched some daytime telly with a cuppa tea and a rocky bar. I really should get on now with some actual cleaning! I'll be wearing a thong over my nose Anthea style today in effort to help my asthma. Just hope no one comes to the door lol :rotfl:IAAR/IAAMM/MFTMFAQ/IOA6BH0 -
Thanks for welcoming me everyone
I really appreciate it, I definitely need the encouragement! I wouldn't say the house is dirty, just disorganised and I hoard complete rubbish! I'm always forgetting to do important things too (like paying bills, and buying lunch and bin bags). I'm going to try and get ahead this week while I'm still enthusiastic. Going to finish the bedroom when I get home tonight and have a 27 fling boogie - although I think I need a 127 fling boogie with my mess, lol :rotfl:

Hiya
Well i'm going into hospital more often. I came out late last night and DH had completly gutted the bedroom. It's spotless and fab. I won't be doing anything this week apart from sleeping I think but glad it's all over and life can get back to normal next week xxJanuary budget
