how can op rip of the receipt if there isn't one there unless you ask for one? and if one had asked the " teller, cashier, till attendant " for a account of one purchase (receipt) then the said shop employee would present the said shopper, op in this case with any remuneration due (change) along with paper printout of such a transaction.

If you read things properly you'd see the op wrote it here.
some needed to be prompted even before when receipts did come out. I used to have to reach and pull it myself to make the point, the message didn't hit home and on that subject, I'd like to let them know how I feel (believe me, this is the short friendly version!!)

Again you'd only find a teller in a bank, not in Tesco!

how does one reprint the last receipt if one wasn't printed in the first instance?

There'd be a button on the till saying print receipt! ;)

    reprint...reprint

    read slower and comprehend quicker

that's twice today you have been found wanting.

I think you'll find if the tills no longer automatically print receipts the button would say "print receipt" not "reprint receipt"!

You've seen a bank in a Tesco Express??

I've seen a Post Office in one, not a bank though!

That's beside the point though as the op went to a till which was part of the shop, the op has never stated they were at a bank counter in a Tesco Express!

The opening post. As the receipts are no longer automatic then it will say print, not reprint!
