strange that it not being listed, I wonder why!!
    because there a teller.

in the bank is a speaker that when the cashier is free says " cashier number 3 please" ect, not teller. see if you can find the legal definition, when you don't post back then we'll know why

The reason why I won't be able to post is because I've posted the definition above. It's not going to change because you don't like it. What you've written above is that in the UK even in a bank we tend to use the term cashier.

If you're so convinced you're right you need to prove it, I've shown I'm right.

Had you read my post I was seeking replies regarding an address to which I could write. Nowhere did I invite comments as to people's opinions on my issue
You did, the moment you posted this on a public forum

Don't worry. It has dawned on me that I'll die of old age before getting you to understand how a dictionary works. :wall:

how can you be right when a dictionary says a bank worker is a teller yet we call them cashiers

yet a dictionary doesn't say what a till worker in a supermarket is called, thus any term is right or it would be written for clarification. ie

    till worker
    teller
    cashier
    person that over-sees the payment
    till attendant

Don't worry. It has dawned on me that I'll die of old age before getting you to understand how a dictionary works. :wall:

now do you understand what is listed in a dictionary and why:)

I know it is not the query from the OP but 99% of my receipts are dumped in the nearest bin, and the rest are shoved into a pocket simply because I can not find a bin - so it is wasteful.

On the other hand when I come to return something and they say "can I have the receipt?" you can simply reply "No, because you do not issue one, please just refund me the money" :)
