You'd have to revert to "new tab page", reversing what you did when you set a new tab to open as your home page.

I have just printed that out ready to do tomorrow, it's getting late so I will report back tomorrow, thanks for your help so far x

There are problems with the MSE forum and the latest Internet Explorer not playing together.

    hostertlady,

In addition to the ones you've already uninstalled, uninstall these too.

    Bing Bar
    Free YouTube Download version 3.2.2.426
    FreeOnlineRadioPlayerRecorder Toolbar
    GreyGray
    uTorrentControl_v2 Toolbar
    Vuze
    Vuze Remote Toolbar
    WinPcap 4.1.2

Obviously, if there's any there you'd like to keep, don't uninstall them.

This is what I meant - Vuze and utorrent are the peer to peer programs that I am sure you don't use. Without doing more research I am unsure as to whether these will uninstall TOR as well - someone I am sure who is more familiar will advise.

Get rid of anything that says "toolbar" in your list of programs, other possibly than google toobar if you use that.

it comes up with a big red cross and a message saying' No JVM could be found on your system, please define EXE4J_JAVA_HOME to pint to an installed 32 bit JDK or JRE or download a JRE from www.java.com...

I have no idea what that means at all.........
    and I cannot see :
WinPcap4.1.2 in my list of programmes anywhere

Accept the license agreement and download Java from here:

    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jre7-downloads-1880261.html

    Windows x86 Offline 27.7 MB jre-7u45-windows-i586.exe

Install Java & then try again to uninstall Vuse.

    Don't worry about WinPcap
