Evening everyone....
I am back after a very very busy February. Though it is catch 22 as had some days when I was just fed up of being soooo busy but then been crying at random times today after my parents & sister flew back to Australia.
They didn't want us to go into the airport with them, just wanted us to drop them off and thankfully Scarlett was asleep in the car so avoided the whole 'giving her one last hug' as think that would of made everyone cry. Instead they just peered in the window to have a look at her.
It was great seeing them and of course now it is upsetting and difficult to not do the 'this time last week, this time yesterday' thoughts but could of done with them being here longer so every day wasn't soooo busy. I did have my moments of moaning to my husband via txt message as some things they wanted to do in a day were just too much for Scarlett, she sometimes had had enough of being in her car seat.
We ended up getting a sling half way through the holiday and that made a big difference as she loved checking everything out. Especially when we went to the deep and cadbury world.
Has got us talking though about when to move to Australia. I've sorta done my time here, lol. Been here since April 2003 and now we have Scarlett it has got us talking about wanting to go to Australia before she starts school as we both don't think it's fair for her to start school and then move.
Hope everyone has been well over February.

Evening all,
It's been really quiet on here recently! I read everyday but not had much to say.
Lo is 1 in a couple of weeks, i cannot believe it, I don't understand where the year has gone!
His head hasn't grown up much which is rubbish but to be honest it looks so much better now that I'm not bothered about him having the helmet anymore!
Glad your all moved in now katie
Hope everyone else is well. How are all the Los?

Hi ladies
I guess this is the place for me now! Isabelle Grace was born on Tuesday weighing 7lbs 2oz by c section. We're doing ok, she's a little jaundice & so bf is a bit tricky but we are getting there.
Hope everyone has a good weekend
Hurray! Welcome to someone who I 'nearly' helped get pregnant! The things you can do over the internet.0 -

Another one here who's baby has gotten clingy and needs lots of entertaining. I used to be able to leave him in the bouncer for ages but I'm lucky to get 10mins now! I borrowed a sling from my local sling library to help but me and LO are just getting used to it. Sling was incredibly useful for motorway services!
Sleep is one 3 or 4 hour block In cot and then in bed with me to nurse every 1or 2 hours. Its deteriorated being away tho.
congratulations becca!
MrsH I'm glad you feel ok about LO's head now after it being such a worry.
hope the move is going well Nutella
wishing us all lots of sleep!0 -
Hi all!
Congrats Becca, hope you're getting on ok. Early days are tough x
Baby (4 weeks) has a snotty nose tonight. Not runny visible stuff but it's making him distressed and snore, snort and sleep badly, and the noise (he's bedside in a basket) is keeping me and hubby awake too. Have fed a couple of times early hours and tried to use the snot sucker (aspirator) and tissue wipe but no luck. Is there much else I can do?fran-o0 -
Have you tried nasosal Fran?DS born November 2013 :smileyhea0

Fran o - Calpol do nasal drops. We use these for my lo when he has had a cold, within a minute he can breathe out of it.Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0

+1 for the calpol nasal drops fran-o also bringing lo into the room with you when you are having a shower helps to,
You prob need to mind yourself extra well if you are bf. anytime c gets sick I get it too, it's natures way of providing baby with the benefits of mums immune system!0 -

We used saline drops in the early days. Also try propping up the head end of his basket. During the day, if you have a sling I'd carry him around at home in that - again, being propped up will help.
Not much else you can do unfortunately, but thankfully at that age a snotty nose doesn't tend to last long (unlike when they start nursery - then they have a cold from September to April!).
Once your little one is 3 months, try Karvol plug-in - it's fab0
