Aww cd scarlet is totally beautiful. Is she sitting now the little clever girl? She's similar age to my lo. He's not really sitting yet but when he's sat between my legs or in his rubber ring thing he will lean forward into a sit and stay there but only if he has something to reach for (like his beloved worm). So its like he can do it but doesn't know it. .. Then he topples!!! Hope your feeling better though it must be so hard being away from your family. Mine are close by but I don't see them loads. My mum is having a hysterectomy in 2 weeks. I can't bear that she won't be very well :(

Katie, forgot to ask how G coped today with your OH being away after a weekend together? Hope everything was ok. How much longer have you got before your OH finishes his old job?

Thanks Nutella, he's been pretty much ok - first morning he ran into our room saying dada but he was ok about it. I think it'll be worse when OH is here but not physically next to G. I think as well I've been underestimating the upheaval it is for him - at our old place he had his routine of play groups/soft play etc and here its all different, not to mention no Daddy and new house etc. Its bound to take some time. Hopefully will settle soon though - can't take another 25 min tantrum at 6.20am when he sees the fish finger packet in the freezer and wants them for breakfast...Although the likelihood of that being because of the move is slim to none. More likely he's just a bit of a drama queen :rotfl:

I have a drama queen here too :o Although right now she's in a very good mood, having just eaten a mountain of falafel and halloumi and salad - and giggled at my espresso cup! There I was, so pleased with myself that I finally own espresso cups (thanks, Sainsbury's offer :)) and she just thought the little cup was hilarious! :rotfl:I might make her a babyccino later, if only to see her reaction - she's never had one.

I can only imagine how a big move like that must be hard for little people, but I'm sure he'll soon settle in to a new routine - I know children like predictability, but they're also very adaptable :o I'm so happy LO doesn't have to change nursery when we move, as she loves it there and it will provide a familiar environment at a time when everything else is different. We'll also still be able to go to our Saturday 'other language' playgroup, but I'm still expecting her to feel unsettled for a while :(

That is the beauty of photography as it looks like she is sitting on her own, however I had my hand on her back holding onto her dress so she wouldn't go forwards. The photographer then just edited my arm out.

She will sit like you have mentioned for your lo but if I was to move away she'd definitely fall forwards.

Hope everything goes well for you mum. I have my inlaws about 20mins away but hardly see them. They decided to stay away for the whole mth my family were over, saying it was because I hadn't seen them in such a long time. Personally I found that odd as it was only the 2nd time my family have visited the UK in the 11 years I have lived here so my parents & inlaws have hardly spent anytime with each other.

Even when we did the family photo shoot they didn't seem very keen when we suggested we all go out for lunch afterwards.

I need to go to London to get a new passport (Australian one) as have to lodge the application in person and when hubby asked if they could look after Scarlett they weren't too sure as worried that she doesn't know them. I can't win with them as they're not social able people, like no way would they have come to all the tourist places I went with my family. Never been on a day trip with them or casually go round for lunch or tea etc.

It's always been this way ever since I have known them but you'd think they'd wanna get to know their grandchild, but hey ho..

At the moment I'm far more tempted to ask friends to look after Scarlett for us which is mean I know but I just don't understand my inlaws at all.

Hello Ladies. Cute baby pic cd!

I keep thinking I should be over here but been keeping up with the pg thread instead! I had my little boy on 16th Feb although he surprised us as he wasn't due until 26th. He's coming on really well and I'm remembering all the wonders of having a newborn.

I used to post on here more regularly after I had my daughter who was 2 in January. She's now a whirlwind of energy and chats away/bosses us about all the time x
