Oh no Nutella hope your ok. Hugs!
When did everyone start with whole milk? After 1? At 1? Lo is 1 in 12 days eeeeeekkkkk! So just wondering when to start thinking about it, these last few days he's been leaving around 30-60 ml of bottles ( he has morning, afternoon and night bottle) so I'm thinking I'm going to drop the afternoon one soon.Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Hey hunwe started cows at 12mnths, although I did small amounts so say a third cows to two thirds formula, just slowly upped the cows milk gradually and reduced formula.
Aiden dropped his afternoon bottle at about 11mnths I think so bet your lo is ready too.
Hows the eating going? XLittle Man born 11 March 2012 :smileyhea

cd what a lovely pic of scarlett and v.clever to have your arm edited out! Glad you enjoyed time with your family x
mrsh, ive wondered about cows milk too, have you any plans for your lo birthday?
Afm, im back to work to a few weeks, and the thought of it makes me feel illI just cant believe where the past 9mths have gone. Ds is 8mths on Thursday. We are getting on ok with weaning but I am so scared of him choking, so much so that I havent given him many finger foods, how do i move on from this fear? I realise I sound like such a whimp but I cant even bring myself to give him a piece of toast, He likes rice cakes and carrot sticks although I am making his purees quite thick so can see him chomping away.
Mum of 2 :j0 -
Can't help with the choking fears Minimuffin as we did BLW so finger foods from day one. Maybe soft toast (? slightly underdone, with spread). Or cream crackers as they go soggy.
MrsH, T is 10 months and I give him cows milk with his morning snack. He doesn't take much, but is just enough between feeds. He has a morning feed, mid afternoon and night feed (bf). Eating well, 3 meals a day.

Thank you ladies, going to start dropping the afternoon bottle, lo is eating 3 meals a day and two snacks now so think he's having enough. His eating is going well, I'm giving him rice cakes and bits of finger foods now and he's doing ok.
Minimuffin- it's hard not to worry about choking but to be honest you just have to take a big gulp and do it. When I give lo a rice cake or something he has to feed himself at snack time I sit on the floor with him in the living room, pause the tv and do not take my eyes off him until he's finished eating it. That way I am completely concentrating on him and I feel safer that way. All you can do really. I also have a first aid app by the red cross I think, that tells you what to do in case of ... Have a read of that maybe?
For lo first birthday we are just having parents round for a buffet. Is it silly that I'm mad that my dad hasn't been down to see us this year? He was all talk of being a "doting grandad" but seems the novelty has worn off and seeing as we already had a weird relationship (that I was willing to put aside) I feel letdown again? Is that stupid?
Anyway glad everyone is being kept busy with their babies, I had a dream that I had another last night, went in at 10cm dilated, born in under 10 minutes! Wow! Then I woke up Hahaha
Morning ladies by the way!Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0 -

Oh Nutella, I'm so sorry to hear that
I always forget in England the sellers can do this, in Scotland once you've committed that's it or there's a large financial penalty. I will keep all my fingers crossed you get somewhere else soon.
Zzzzz I cannot cope with these early starts, combine that with back molar teething and I'm about round the bend
Since sunday A has asked for the potty 4 times and actually done something each time :j bit scared about what to do next...The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Thanks for all your advice ladies, you are a friendly bunch
Sorry to hear your house news Nutella. We'll probably look to move once I'm back at work early next year and we know what we're doing in terms of work/ child care/ finances.
Baby was four weeks old yesterday and today is my first day at home without family or partner support. Still in one piece, washed and dressed and relatively sane. A positive night with a fair amount of sleep helped!fran-o0
