Hi Mrs T M :) ahhh a four day baby, may I borrow your lo just for a bit?

Scary to think that Kallie will be a year old Sunday!

No borrowing (can barely stand to let him out of my sight!), but visiting is welcome! :D

This was right after his second feed last night (at 4:30 am, which even he thought was an absurd hour.):

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Congrats Mrs T_M , he's soooo cute!
Can barely remember when my little T was that little, (he's currently mischievously heading towards the DVD cupboard & knows a whole can of whooop !!! will be opened if he decides to throw them all over the floor and swing on the door.... maybe I should leave the laptop and intervene!!!!
    Hope you're all well ladies & LO's.

  • congratulations Mrs T M! hope you're enjoying your tiny newborn cuddles x

LO loves opening kitchen cupboards and drawers. He seems to love my posh baking ingredients like vanilla extract and likes to wonder around the house with it and make his toys smell of cake! gonna have to do some kitchen cupboard shuffling soon.

I got the deliciously ella book and I love it! I think you can get her recipes off her blog but I like a book. I'm definitely gonna try blueberry muffins and sweet potato brownies!

It's fab, isn't it? Mpst of the recipes are new and not on the blog/app. We've made loads of stuff from it already, and it's all been yummy, but I think my favourite so far is the quinoa pizza base - absolute genius! Oh, and the berry scones, and the superfood bread, and the apple and honey loaf, and the brazil nut and rocket pesto, and the sweet potato wedges.... :D Planning to make the sweet potato pancakes this weekend - I'm pretty much working my way through the book :)

I have a feeling that I'm going to want to show off photos. I know every mum does, so it is nice being normal. ;)

  • It's probably time I graduated to this thread too... DS is now three weeks old, born by c-section under a GA after several failed inductions cos he got stuck. His feet are somewhat wonky as a result, but we've got a physio appointment booked in a couple of weeks to start to get them straightened out (and he can't say he wasn't warned, repeatedly (!), that tucking them up under my ribs was a bad idea...).

I've currently got a bit of an infection in the scar which has wiped me out a bit. I was laid up for a couple of months prior to the birth, so was keen to be up and out and about pretty pronto post operation - I managed to be out and running errands on day 4, so enforced rest again is disappointing, even if it is sensible!

Little dude is happy and healthy though, which is the main thing I guess, and getting into what passes for a routine. I can't quite believe we've been blessed with a sleeper so am waiting for him to remember what babies are meant to do and disturb our nightly slumbers more often! :D

Got a home photo session booked for tomorrow - he's grown so fast already so we want to capture him looking vaguely baby-like before he's all grown and leaving home! ;)

    You do indeed :D
  • congratulations fuzzipeg, enjoy your rest and sleep. Hope you recover from your infection soon.

Out with two non-mum friends tomorrow and struggling to find places for us to go with LO. He wants to to toddle about and play but playgym is unsuitable. I don't want to take him to a farm cos he falls over a lot and I don't want him doing that in animal doings! I think we'll go to a park and then pub for tea.
