Today's impulse buy: advent calendar for LO. I hadn't planned to buy one, but when I spotted this in a shop window, I just couldn't resist :D

Nutella, hope you are both well and you perhaps have a moving date now? Fingers crossed that 2015 starts with you moving :)

    Thanks, I hope so - we're still waiting :(

Nutella I love soft play and it is great for wearing little people out! We usually go to a soft play group on a Monday and one of the farms nearby has an indoor soft play; obviously as a good mother I have to supervise my little one so get to go on the big spiral slide too :D

I did like the big slide :) But apart from that, I have to admit I just found it hot, smelly and noisy. I enjoyed seeing LO so happy, and it was well worth it for that, but it'll definitely be a few weeks/months before I'll have built up the strength to go back! :o
  • I'm really lucky where I am that two days a week are free at soft play and sometimes is quiet. I went yesterday and there was only like 4 children in there. It means that lo can have a brilliant run around, tire himself out and them come home for dinner and a nap yey!!

Having massive sleep problems here, made a rod for our own back and I co sleep with lo every night. We've said after the new year were going to put all the effort in needed to get him in his own bed (all night) would be nice to co sleep with my oh rather than my son for once haha.

Nice to see the thread being a bit more chatty :) glad your all well.

    I've been Money Tipped!
MrsH, still co sleeping? Good luck with the transition into a bed. Hopefully he'll settle well and you can keep strong (and cope with a few rough nights!) in the early days.
4.50am start this morning :-( I've had a little power nap whilst LO napped this morning, I think his grumpy with a cough & cold keeping him awake, so just need to try and keep positive today (hopefully the caffeine in the chocolate I've just had will keep me perky!)
To put the Christmas tree up today, getting festive :-)

Re. soft play - I can sooo identify with this. MrsH, I want to go to a soft play place with only four children in it! The one we went to had a crowd of approx. one million small children, plus badly behaved older siblings and annoying parents. Not my idea of fun! :o

A moved into his at ten months too. He was so long and squished in the baby carrier I had no choice haha xx

Apart from the fact I gave up lugging the baby carrier very early on as it's such an arkward shape and I kept bashing my shins with it - no way Robyn in particular would have fitted in hers at anywhere near 10 months because she was so tall (we'd long-since got a 0+/1 one that stayed in the car anyway)! She's over the 99th centile line in terms of height and was rocking around fairly comfortably in an age 3-4 lion onesie she'd nicked from her sister the other day - at not much over 1 1/2... she's been in age 2-3 clothes forever now though - but Erin's a beanpole as well, little bit lower on the height charts - not much, because of coming so early but she's shot up in height as well now so basically I've got two future supermodels on my hands.

Getting to be annoying since we are either over, or very nearly over the 15kg point for their car seats for both of 'em (had Robs weighed at A+E the other week when she discovered she couldn't fly and gave herself a black eye and even SHE is over 14kg) - got a little bit of leeway since the harness part of their seats can go up to 18kg but need to start thinking it through - I want them harnessed (and contained) as long as possible before having to go to boosters! There's very little difference in the pair of 'em now - they fairly regularly get mistaken for twins now Robyn's lost her baby features mostly and only about an inch height difference at the most.
Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!

Proud mummy moment: LO just read her first ever word! :j

She's been able to recognise her name for a while, and as of last week is able to spell it (five letters), but today we were looking at some phonics cards, and she picked one up and said 'f-o-x' - then 'fox'. Then turned the card over, saw a picture of a fox and realised she was right - she looked soooo happy and proud of herself :D

Just a quick one, hi everyone *waves* we have a britax two way elite, it can face both ways and is harnessed to 25kg. We bought it from in car safety, they have stores in Milton Keynes and Essex, I cannot recommend them enough. We're in Scotland so obviously couldn't go to the shop, but they were fab on the phone, weren't annoyed by my millions of questions. That seat in particular will fit almost all cars, it's quite good. They're all about the safest seat for your car also rather than just sales. They also sell the Britax advansafix which also harnesses to 25kg and can face both ways. Hope that helps. All of the high backed boosters on the market the harness has to be removed at 18kg and 3 point seat belt used.

I have a titch, at this rate he'l still be in a harness at 7
