I have one at preschool this morning and one asleep on the sofa - house is silent. I should be wrapping presents (my parents are stopping in en-route from their holiday return to take them up to their house ready for spending Christmas there)... instead I'm faffing about on the internet drinking coffee of course.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0

Hello all, this thread is so quiet these days!... Hope everyone is well.
I've had a lovely couple of days off - went out for lunch with hubby yesterday (LO was at the nursery) - our first meal out just the two of us since LO was born! We also wandered around a few local independent shops, which was really nice. Headed over to the nursery in the afternoon, where they were doing a little xmas carol performance for the parents. LO did a solo performance of 'Twinkle twinkle' - she sang very quietly and didn't finish the song, but I was so proud of her for having the guts to do it!She's now the proud owner of a little wind up torch - a 'well done' present from mummy
Today we went to see 'One snowy night', which was absolutely brilliant
Off to my parents for xmas next Friday - I still don't know what to buy them! :eek:0 -
Nearly there with my Christmas shopping! Decs going up tomorrow, festivities begin tomorrow evening with an nct ladies night out. I'm going to my work office do too (despite being on mat leave) as it's also a leaving do for two people I work closely with. Yay for christmas (ho ho ho!)
Struggling a bit with breastfeeding this week.. We've had two terrible nights with baby up feeding for hours. Followed by two nights where he's slept through 9hrs. I'm feeding him on both sides in the morning but by early afternoon my boobs are so uncomfortable... Getting the balance right is tricky. I shouldn't complain or we'll be back to disruptive nights!fran-o0 -
Well the youngest has the worst case of chicken pox I've ever seen poor girl... expecting that to be her festive gift to her sister in time for Christmas now.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0

still here reading!
I'm getting LO a tambourine, fisher price cookie shape sorter, happyland submarine and happyland train for Chrimbo - should definitely be enough! I'm gonna try and give LO the gift of undivided attention from parents on the big day - although I'm going to attempt Christmas dinner for 3 as well.
LO is 15 months and doing a few staggery steps with encouragement. I keep thinking that when he walks he won't be a baby anymore and don't really mind him crawling. He's also become really clingy!
Fran-o we keep having one night where he goes to bed quite early (8:30) and sleeps through and the next he's up about 3/4 times! I think mine is a little bit poorly.0 -
Evening ladies
We had a week away last week, and as I had no mobile reception where we were staying it was blissful and peaceful. LO of course, decided that mommy is the ONLY one who can do anything and the only times I managed unsupervised toilet trips/showers were when she was asleep! If I tried whilst she was awake she went absolutely crazy, screaming, crying and bashing on the door. If OH tried to calm her she just screamed even louder "Mama, mama, mama"... exhausting!
I was really worried about going back to work this morning but it seems to have been rooted in some anxiety about being away from home as last night she wouldn't let me bath her - only Daddy would do and this morning there were no tears when I left for work and Daddy had no trouble getting dressed, breakfasted and off to nursery!
have a good week all

Morning ladies,
Where has this year gone, I cannot believe at the beginning of the year I was waiting for march for lo to turn ONE!!! It feels like a lifetime ago. And it certainly doesn't feel like he is only one!!
Off into town this morning to get a load of christmas food goodies, chocolate and biscuits for us!!
Dizziblonde - hope lo is ok and doesn't pass it on for christmas.
Hello to everyone and hope your all looking forward to Christmas with your familyNewly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0 -
Wahhhhh we went to view nurseries for LO yesterday. I may have had a few sobs, and still do when I think of leaving him all week. he took to it like a duck to water and didn't want to leave any of them. I wanted to run away and never ever go back :rotfl:The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0
