hello sorry I haven't been round and posting. I do love reading the posts.
I have been to a lot more baby groups which is great but doesn't leave me with a lot of time! Also since Tuesday night LO is going through sleep regression! He's waking hourly pretty much maybe even shorter periods and being fussy at the breast during the night / in bed. I think he's having trouble staying asleep and is having a development leap cos he's making rolling movements more. He rolls away from the boob, cries, then comes back and repeats this several times! He's not rolling completely yet, he's still working it out. He was 4 months on Wednesday so it sounds like 4 month sleep regression. I've always fed him to sleep so I have to rely on the magic boob lol.
Onetreehillgirl - some people are just insensitive and very stupid! I remember walking around with a screaming colicy baby and people commenting that he just needed a hug/ attention/ sound of someone's voice. Cue people trying to give him attention, it working roughly 5 seconds and then the crying started again! I really enjoyed them implying that I did not care enough about my baby to hug, talk or pay attention to him to stop him crying!0 -
Benice, hugs for sleep regression. There is also a 4 month growth spurt that could explain the fussing at the breast. I think c lasted for about a week, the fussing not the sleep regression, we are still dealing with that.
When C was practicing rolling he would roll all night long I his sleep. I used to help him practice during the day by letti g him hold my finger and using it as leverage to pull himself over. Since he was getting loads of practice during the day it seemed to stop the night time practicing. X0 -
Morning ladies
Quiet on here the past couple days, hope that everyone is alright.
Our usual baby group was cancelled yesterday, and our Wednesday swimming is cancelled at the moment too as the pool was badly damaged by the flooding over Christmas so I've been at a bit of a loss this week. I've resorted to two walks a day around the village... But am happy to report that A has had two short naps each dayeven if we did get caught in a heavy rain shower yesterday haha
I think she isn't used to having those naps though as Wednesday night we had an horrendous night with her up from 2 - 4  Last night she spoilt me by sleeping a solid 11hrs - well she whimpered twice - at 9pm and just after midnight - which I think is teeth hurting her but she didn't actually wake.
I'm busy getting things ready for our trip - in two weeks today I'll be home, in the height of summer! I'm looking forward to it, but also dreading it slightly as it is the first time I'm going home since my sister died. I didn't make it home when she died as I was too late in my pregnancy to fly.
Anyway... time for lunch so we can go to our music group

Hugs saffa. Where is home? I'm jealous you're going to fly off to warmer weather!DS born November 2013 :smileyhea0

Afternoon ladies, it's about time I joined the thread. Isabella Antoinette born 11.1.14 6lb11 little girl. I think that's right for the list isn't it?
I don't have time to catch up but I'll follow from herewe're doing fantastically, I'm really surprised as I thought we'd have the crying all the time baby. We're on 2-3hr feeds, she latches beautifully and I'm producing so much milk I end up soaked if I'm not careful. She only lost 15g at her weigh in.
Did anyone get a rash from arnica? I thought I had another heat rash from hormones but as soon as I stopped the arnica the rash has subsided.
We're trying to follow Montessori guidelines with her now she's here, she's already spent some time concentrating on her black & white shapes book yesterday and we try not to over stimulate her, instead allowing her time to take things in/explore movement with her arms & legs etc.
Still trying to decide on her surname, I think we're going to register her with mine until OH bucks up and asks to marry me, don't think it'll take him too long now.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Welcome kerri and congrats again on your new baby!!! It's lovely to have another familiar name on the newborn thread. benice.. sounds just like my lo (bottle fed but constantly shakes off the bottle, thrashes, cries). He's 15 weeks. I've been reading about the wonder weeks babies have and it does sound like my lo. I thought he was waking too early (for him) and was overtired but gradually he's got worse and while most of yesterday he was happy enough today is probs one of the most cranky days he's ever had. He won't nap at all aside from catnaps and the last couple of nights seem to be getting worse although it's not terrible at the moment. 3 wakings and hard to settle. We'll see what tonight brings but while we see glimmers of our usual boy he's very easily annoyed and whiney. I hope whatever it is it passes quickly although it could be worse! It's just the feeding is impossible yet he goes beserk every 3.5hrs which is when he usually feeds (ish) so I assume he is hungry. I've moved up a teat but he's still getting irked! He did this at 12 weeks though (xmas week the little monkey) And it lasted about 10 days so hoping no worse than that!0

Bangton sleeping in the cot went well thank you. We used a mobile that she has previously had attached to her car seat so she was happy looking at that. She did randomly start crying at 4am, though hadn't opened her eyes, hubby made a bottle bless him but I wasn't convinced that was the reason for her crying. I gave her her dummy and she was fine until her normal 6am wake up.
She does love the extra room as have noticed she spreads her arms out more now.
I've had a busy week trying new groups as well but all been pointless. I went to a NCT one on Monday, only 2 other mums turned up with and 3 and 2 year old, so totally not for me with a nearly 15 week old.
I then walked to one in my village on Wed morning and whilst they did have a small soft area for smaller children, again my LO was the youngest and everyone seemed to know one another and stay happily with their backs to me. When Scarlett fell asleep and I put her in her pram I made the effort to go and sit at a table with another 2 mums, however they continued to chat again with the lady closest to me keeping her back to me, only turning to ask me how old my LO was and then turned back round.
In the end I decided to leave before it finished. One of the people running it was lovely, she talked to me a few times and saw me leaving and asked if I was okay. I was honest and said it was worth trying cos I live in the village but that it wasn't suitable.
So I've still just got my baby yoga on a Wed pm and under 1's group on a Fri am that I have found to be suitable for me.
I have my parents & sister over from home (Australia) for all of Feb so think March time I'll try swimming groups. I'm just keen to get good friendships going before I am back at work.
Bangton My LO is similar in the mornings in that she will wake between 5-6am for a bottle but then not want anything to do with me, just wants her bed back and then will sleep till roughly 8am. However at that wake up, she isn't hungry at all, she is alert and happily smiling away so I usually get about an hour with her when she's talking away to me and we sit on the floor and I read her a book or tend to do the 'little green frog' routinue we did at baby yoga seeing as though it makes her giggle.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
Hello
Sorry I've been awol - it's been a manic couple of weeks here. We've decided to move, and on Wednesday we had an offer accepted on a house that we love (it's perfect in every way, including the location) - subject to us having an offer on our flat by Monday! We've got 21 people coming to see it tomorrow (during a two-hour 'open day'), so hopefully someone will love it, but we also had someone come to view it last night, and he's put in an offer. It's a bit lower than what we'd like, but we'll accept it if we don't get a better one. It's all happened so fast - we got back from Christmas at my parents' exactly two weeks ago, and since then we've found our perfect house, put our flat up for sale, sorted out a mortgage and completed all the legal paperwork, all whilst working full time  I'm knackered! Very exciting though
Hope everyone's well - I have nothing useful to contribute at the moment, as my brain is overloaded with house moving stuff0 -
