Hi everyone, hope your well x
dizzi - fab news on the pram. Your girls are so cute (they don't look like they are scruffing it up to me! !)
nutella how are you getting on with the gro clock? I anticipate we will need one waaay down the line. We are almost consistently getting up just after 4am! ahhh well there's time yet!
jannine hope your not too shaken up! That's shocking. . What a set of morons. Big hugs x
afm - went back to work yesterday. No computer access as it was closed down as I left to go on maternity so it was a tad boring but lovely to see people. my boss was great but found out I'm moving teams which is good as it's actually a new ish job for a while (until I get made redundant).
awful news though. Our nursery has closed as the owners son is in hospital with suspected meningitis. so lo was and will be with his dad this week. easier for me to cope but I'm so sad for the little boy.

Awful news about the nursery owner's son Bangton - we had a case of it in a school I worked at and it was really rattling to go through being connected to it.
If anyone's looking for buggy boards and is near a closing Kiddicare - I got the Lascal mini for £28 this morning in ours (cheapest I'd found previously was about £36 so it's a fair deal)... and some annoying laptop toy for the girls since I'm sick of the scrapping over the wretched Dora one my mum got from the charity shop... I swear the voice on this is flipping Justin from Cbeebies - or someone very similar! Driving me mad already!
We have a gro clock but basically it tends to just function as a bit of a night light to raise the light level in the room in the dark winter nights (Erin was getting slightly freaked out by waking up in the real dark) - the book that goes with it wasn't appreciated though - it was hurled across the room in disgust. The one thing that drives me mad about ours is that you have to set it back onto night mode every single day which is just a minor but annoying faff.
Other bargain I've found recently - Erin is ridiculously in to the Little Princess character at the moment and Home Bargains have some of the story books in for 99p... I had to brush the teeth and hair of the front cover of I Want My Potty last night and she went to sleep cuddling it. Most kids get hooked on a teddy bear... mine has a comfort book!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -

It's been seven or eight nights now, and so far so good thanksWe read the little book that came with the clock and then set the clock together before she goes to bed. It's currently set for 5.30am - we started with 5am, then 5.15am and I'm hoping to eventually get to 6am. Decided to keep it nice and achieveable so she doesn't give up on it. I made her a little sticker reward chart, and she gets a sticker when she stays in bed without screaming until the sun comes up. She's soooo excited when she sees the sun - she stands in her bed and screams 'mummy! it's sunny!'
You have my empathy with the 4am wake-ups - for us, it lasted for a year and it hurt!0 -
Lol Nutella, your LO sounds SO cute!
I have a question... I still feed A to sleep in the evenings and pop her into her cot once she is asleep. During the day, at nursery she goes to sleep just by lying down on a mattress on the floor. If at home I can get her to sleep either in the buggy or in the car. If she wakes in the evening/ at night if OH goes into her she goes from crying to full on screaming. If I go into her, I can just cuddle her back to sleep and put her down.
Any suggestions on how to get her less dependent on me if she wakes at night? Please? I'm going out for the first time since she was born on Saturday night and SO stressed that she will wake just after I go and I'll need to come home again0 -
T started getting to a point when he would feed at night, then come away from the breast, still be a little awake and then need cuddling / rocking to sleep. I found at this point the cuddling/rocking could be done by me or DH. Before then I was the only person he'd sleep on.
Sorry, that doesn't really help.x0 -
hello strangers. Took Reuben (26 mo) to Cbeebies land at Alton Towers. Absolute hit, he loved it, thoroughly recommend.
Also took him on the rapids which he was quite scared about to start with but by the end was loving it0 -

We took A too a couple months back, such good fun. Def planning on going again! Hope you are well?
Ladies, any ideas how I can reduce a little scar on his nose? Scrap at nursery and my LO ended up with a scrape. Its only half a cm long but quite red. Will it fade in time? Or can I bio-oil (or similar) it?

Sunshine, similar thing happened here a few months back. I asked the pharmacist at our local chemist, who's always helpful and knows his stuff, and his advice was to do nothing apart from just keeping an eye on it. He said it would heal itself and it did - there's no scar either.0

Didnt really want to put oils and the like on it if I dont need to.
Hope you and LO are well. Sounds like your sleeping has massively improved.
