Thanks for baby massage replies. To be honest I'm looking forward to getting out and seeing other mums/babies. I've been to a baby and toddler group once with my sil (whose 'baby' is 3) ..Not sure what I thought really I felt a bit of a clown as they'd all been going ages as most mums had a toddler and a baby and that's why they were there. Bit scared to go to another one! This week I've been trying to get lo to nap at home so I've only been out once and that was to get contraceptive implant fitted! Hope you all have a good day x

The doctor has confirmed my suspicions and diagnosed her with an umbilical hernia, but it's not a huge one and we're all hoping it resolves itself with time.

Just reading through and this caught my eye! Although bubs doesn't have one, I did! And, you may think I'm totally odd, but, I love my belly button! :rotfl:
I don't know if you're worried about it Amy so, just in case, I thought I would share my positive experience. It was quite sticky out when I was younger but for a long time it's been an "inny/outty", haha. I much prefer to "normal" belly buttons. :p

AFM I think it is wind or colic that is troubling my LO - and I just wanted to thank you all again for your kindness when I was feeling very low. :)

Never put tables and chairs in the same room.
If they congregate together for any length of time, they will inevitably hatch plots against you and your pets.

  • Thank you so much for the replies re my LO.

It helps a lot to read other stories that are so similar. We may never meet in person but I consider this to be a baby group just as much as the ones I attend.

I can only assume she has started teething, though nothing can be felt on her gums yet. Today she has been the normal happy baby I have, a few boubts of craming her fingers in her mouth and red cheeks but no outburst like yesterday.

I went to my under 1's group as normal today and a ladies daughter had 2 teeth at 3mths old

I'm going to try and get to a group in my village next Wednesday. Breaks up the week as will do that, plus baby yoga in the afternoon and then Friday I go to under 1's and then weight watchers in the afternoon.

  • I second the going to groups is great thing. I've just started to go to a few more groups and I really enjoy chatting to other mums.

I went to gp about a few things for bubs and gp is happy with weight gain. he gained 9oz in one week :) I'll carry on bfing intensively and being antisocial lol!

I can second this Amy (not second that othg had one ;)) I had one too.

Mine was operated on when I was 6 - I barely remember it now. They did a very good job making a 'new' belly button for me - missed out on the fun of whether it would 'pop' out of not during pregnancy but other than that it hasn't bothered me.

Never hurt or caused pain (bar recovery after the op.) and they only operated because of cosmetic reasons etc. (popped out a lot & I had another above it too).

After I had it done I always remember another little girl seeing the scar underneath when I was wearing a bikini and saying my belly button was smiling at her, haha :)

Quiet on here this weekend! Hope that means everyone's off enjoying themselves :)

Someone mentioned a baby group they went to was mainly mums with older kiddies I think? Might be worth checking out your local sure start, a lot of them (around here, anyway) have groups for pre walkers and then separate groups for older toddlers.

G has been a menace today - refused his breakfast, refused most of his snack, refused the scrambled egg so had just half a slice of toast for dinner. And whined for snacks for the majority of the morning. He's asleep for now, thankfully. Long may it last!

The moment you realise, at 5am, that you've leaked through the breast pad, through a padded nursing bra, through a vest top and through pyjama top :S

  • OH has taken baby to his mum's for an hour, I'm sat here not knowing what to do with myself! Have iced a cake, done the washing up, done some housework and now I'm twiddling my thumbs!

Awwww, Lola is gorgeous! We've got those wall stickers - love them :)

Do you have a link to the wall stickers? I'm trying to do a few comparisons! Thanks :)
