Glad it's not just my LO with a hat problem then! He's always got a good colour though, always slather him in cream obv anyway.
Guess it could be a boy thing Nutella! G will just chuck himself off/down/across/under anything in his path. At a new park the other day he was off up the ladder on a HUGE slide - think 8-9ft tall - without a backward glance. I had to follow him up just in case!
Sunshine we've got a jack russel cross poodle; a jackapoo, but I feel like a bit of a prat saying that to randoms on the street that stop and ask about him!
Sorry your LO isn't settling well Nutella, hope it resolves itself soon and she settles into the new room. We're considering putting G into nursery/pre school soon, just for a morning or two a week. I think the time apart would be good for both of us. Even if I do dread it at the same time as dream of a sit down in peace!

It's a boy thing, T has bruises all over his shins and he's still only crawling and cruising! A bit of a devil with his hat. Only seems to stay on if I put it on, distract him and then he forgets about it, can sometimes stay on for a whole 5 mins at a time!??!
Need to sort out his naps/sleep. He's best with only one nap per day late morning, for a couple of hours, then is tired by bedtime and goes off easily. For the past few days he's gone off really early for his morning nap (9ish) and then needed another nap about 3.30, but then he's flat out until 5 and won't go to sleep until 9ish (boo). Do I just keep prodding a gradually grumpier baby to keep him awake until 11ish in the morning to keep him to one nap, or wake him after only half an hour in the afternoon to have a very grumpy baby in the afternoon, but at least one that goes to sleep before I want to!?
His teething is better though... for now!
Last week as a SAHM, work starts on Saturday for me (3 days a week), hopefully I'll have a more successful return to work than you Saf... get well soon.
Need to investigate some sort of shoes for T, he's not walking on his own yet, but wants to walk about with hands in the park etc, would be nice to have shoes on rather than just grubby socks.

Morning ladies
Lazywife I will always wake G if his nap is going on a bit long. We've had a good routine since he was less than a year, although it has changed as he's grown. He fell into it but it works for us so I'll wake him after 2hours, or by 4.30 pm. Better (for us) to stick with the routine than have him up half the night which then sets the next day off badly etc etc.
Clarks do soft soled cruiser shoes, maybe worth a look.
Me and OH are going to be on telly tonight if anyone fancies a nose. It's going to be totally embarrassing but I've come to terms with being a laughing stock now. 8pm, channel 5, DIY dummies. We're the wasp nest coupleNewborn thread member

Love a good nosy!
Lazy - your lo is close in age to mine isn't he? So I'll tell you our routine.
Wakes 6-7
Nap 10-12:30
Then stays awake but gets whingey around 4/5
Bedtime routine 6:30 bath cuddles and bottle
Asleep for 8 (9 on a bad night)
If he is really really whingey around 3 then I will get him to nap but do not let him sleep later than 4:30 just because it will affect his bedtime.
We also bought lo some cruisers from clarks £24 though, but they have done him for 7 weeks while he gets better at walking but is not walking everywhere outside. Be careful because of stones etc, they are very soft soled, so they can still feel the ground and keep balance. Hope this helpsNewly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0 -
Morning ladies
We're having a beautiful day here! So glad I'm off on Mondays to be able to enjoy this sunshine
Thank you all, we're both better though A's appetite is not yet back to normal; will just have to see how tomorrow goes at nursery as she's been having more milk than usual the past few days. Today I'm trying to restrict milk using distraction techniques - so far we have tipped cups of water over us, split pegs in two, read some silly books and done swinging... and I'm avoiding sitting in the spot I would usually feed her in.
Ooh Katie, we caught that last week; shall enjoy having a look again this eveningA wasp nest is one of my nightmare scenarios!
Good luck with going back to work Lazywife, and hope that it is more successful than my return! A generally has one nap in the day now. She wakes usually about 6-6:30 (and I will wake her if she hasn't woken so she can have milk before I go to work) then nap often around 11/12 or if she pushes through to after lunch then by 2. It's only for an hour at most - more often 45min. Dinner at 6, upstairs for bath, story and bedtime feed by 6:45 and she's in bed asleep between 7:15 and 8pm. She does sometimes have a nap around 4 or 5pm if she is particularly grotty or we've been really busy usually for 30-40min. This doesn't affect her bed time.
No advice on keeping a hat on; A seems to tolerate it better if there isn't a strap under her chin.
Hope that your little one is settling better Nutella; OH has drop off duties at nursery (as they don't open early enough for me to drop off) and has found it really upsetting as she has cried as he dropped her off.
OH took LO to his folks yesterday and it reportedly went well with only one set of tears (after her usual bedtime when he handed her to one of his sisters whilst he looked at some diy for them). Glad that it went well and need to encourage it a little more so that she gets used to going out without me in tow. My mom is coming to stay for three months ( such a long time) but am now planning to use her to get A used to being with others even more.
I also need to get A used to others at night; (TMI, sorry) on Saturday I had to put her to bed in between bouts of throwing up as she just screamed whilst OH triedNot quite sure how to tackle this one

Thanks for you advice ladies, I like the woken by 4.30pm whatever system. I think that will work better for him. Today he hasn't had an afternoon nap, but had a long chilled out cuddle for 10mins whilst the telly was on at about 4pm, I think that was all the rest he needed.
Liking the idea of cruisers, may investigate Clarks Outlet tomorrow.
Might take a sneaky peek tonight Katiechoc :-)

Katiechoc, I have to ask - did you know what the program was before agreeing to go on it?0

I missed the TV debut!
I think LOs routine is starting to change again at 10.5 months. She still wants to nap an hour after waking no matter what time she has breakfast, then she'll often sleep again after lunch for about half an hour and final nap about three for an hour. Bed time routine starts with 5.30pm tea, bath around half six (depends if we're at home or I'm at work) then cuddles, milk, pooh bear and mr moon on TV then bed. She usually (apart from teething, grrr) crashes mid bottle during mr moon.0
