Nutella and crabapple...I love that! I can't wait for lo to speak (I think! !!)

I have the mother of all colds today. How on Earth do you put your all into your child when you feel like death warmed up? ?! Amazingly though LO slept through (he's been wakinh presumably due to teeth and hunger! ). It's like he knew! OH offered to get up if he did wake so maybe he thought he'd save daddy!

Have a good day everyone xx
  • How sweet Nutella and Crabapple.

I love how my LO interacts with me now. She's discovered she can reach her toes, so always brings her feet to her mouth when I take her nappy off. She happily plays with her feet whilst I clean her up etc but then as soon as a fresh nappy is placed under her she quickly puts her legs back down.

As soon as I say 'What are you doing' she smiles and giggles. I repeat what I say a few times whilst smiling at her and I get the same reaction.

Baby yoga was on yesterday and the lady who runs it said the loveliest thing to me. We were busy talking and LO was in her car seat, the lady just said to me 'She doesn't take her eyes off you when you talk, you have a very strong bond and connection with each other. The way she interacts with you during yoga is just lovely'

That made my day as in the beginning I did worry about bonding as my c section was so quick due to being an emergency it was like my body didn't have time to realise I was a mum. I had no rush of emotions and didn't cry, which really worried me. I felt rubbish for a few days after the c section as well as was vomiting a lot so the days in hospital were not the bonding experience I expected.

Hope everyone has a nice day. I've got nothing that's planned today as in I must attend but might pop to a drop in session local to me for the weaning group. I'm currently catching up on washing as our machine broke on Sunday, dreadful how quickly it all builds up.

Awww I love to hear all the LO's saying lovely things!

Little miss is very funny at the moment, she just stood up on her chair at dinnertime the other day and said 'I love it dinner' :D Obviously she was starving :o

She's actually still asleep in her buggy over an hour after we got home... but on the plus side I've put the dishwasher and washing machine on and made the pizza dough for later without feeling bad that no one's playing with her :)

  • Cd, I didnt cry initally when ds was born, i always thought i would tho. there was alot going on as he was forcep delivered and I had to be stitched so they took him away. ill never forget the smile on my hubbys face when he seen him. I did shed a tear when we were on our own tho. Thats a lovely thing that the lady said.

took ds to dr and he is on antibiotics for the conjunctivitis as his ear and throat look infected. We had a horrendous night on Tues he was up every half hour and I had a shivery flu thing yesterday so it was a hard day.

We got our nursery bill in and they want april paid in advance, luckily hubby had been paying into his voucher account from feb!

We are having some trying time with sleep ATM :( I'm so so so tired, my poor OH is like a zombie at work. It is not good. I'm used to a good sleeper so being up for 5 hours + in the middle of the night for weeks on end is not my idea of a good time. I can only hope that it will get better :o

R.e the talking we get loads of impromptu 'love you mummy' now :D I will never tire of hearing it, and now when we're in the garden and he hears a plane he always shouts 'bye bye daddy, go airport' as we spoke about OH going on a plane for work last week, it's so cute they remember things like that :o all very good, but the repeating, omg the repeating, no one tells you about that when you're willing your child to speak.

We went out for lunch and shopping the other day in the nearest big city, full day we spent out and he walked the whole time, didn't ask to be carried at all, I cried on Tuesday night as it's hit me so much he's not a baby anymore :o *sob*

Just had such a good sleep. After a few rough nights and a long day involving projectile poo hubby suggested i go to bed early so I went for a nap at 9.30 expecting to be woken at11pm when hubby wanted to sleep. Instead I slept til baby woke me at 3.15 for a feed. So grateful to hubby. Though I have leaked big time due to not feeding for so long! Sorry to brag just has to tell someone! X

Congrats fran-o, sleep must be lovely! On the rare occasion the baby hasn't woken me up inflataboobie has instead but it's all part of the joys I guess!

I was really impressed at little man last night though because for the first time (and twice in a night) he woke for a feed, had it, then settled straight back down, so I was only up for half hour max. That was lovely:)

What Gilly said about the repeating - it is like having your own little parrot!

Stupid things really, but as much as I can't believe my toddler is over 2 and that time has flown, I can't wait for baby to start smiling and then I start thinking of all the other cool things he's still got to do. Should not be wishing the baby time away ;)
