  • Anti depressants are great if you need them.

Hope you feel happier soon Buffs. I find solace in the garden too. Also in my pets- its hard to scowl at a rodent.

Do one thing a day which makes you happy and think of that when you go to sleep and it might help with the stress headaches. Can but try x

  • thanks ladies.

I kind of assume everyone is female here :) hope you are!

I thing I don't get is I have a about 3 mates who get migraines and they have gone through every drug known to man in the process of "finding a cure"

I go, with CLASSIC migraine (apparently) and get told to rest, change my job (which I did) take paracetmol, told not to take paracetmol, find Syndol, that got banned by the EU and now I am taking sleeping tablets imported from the US (!)

no doctor has every offered me pain killers. all I want is sleep and a pain killer.

any how I shall try new doctors.

I do need to mark really but am shattered.

    pants.

My GP never offers painkiller either Buffy. My old one didn't either.
They did prescribe me something when I went last time though. I had been vomiting and having visual disturbances for 7 days and it was by far the longest I have had. Even though he couldn't give me anything for THAT migraine (no point, you have to take something at the earliest onset of symptoms for it to have effect), he gave me something for the next time I have one.
For me, the nausea and visual stuff is the worse part of a migraine. I find any painkillers useless tbh. I just have to wait for it to pass.

Mine is hormone and diet related I think. If I eat too much junk food I get them more often, plus when its my TOTM.

Re Anti Depressants- use them if you need them. But actually the best results come from a combination of medication as well as counselling. AD's helped me a great deal when I really needed them, but the therapy has been my main salvation. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
  • The headache has gone!

am working too much essentially. Reached a balance tonight.

found 38 pound saver stamps for Morrison's. Good.

    got a tax rebate.

    for

    £1295

    I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT.

I was happy with the saver stamps! then I checked my post.

am going to be all grown up, put 1000 in my Isa and 300 in my emergency fund(extra fiver is the reward thingy).

I have roughly a week and a half to manage off my wages.

I am just so stunned about the tax rebate. no clue.
