hello.
!!!!!! day.
BUT I did mark a set of books for Monday. the job is truly rubbish but so far I am ok. I am keeping up and have a plan for next week.
had to spend 75 on the car, 8 on fish and chips,
am fat and house is still a mess but am so knackered that all that can wait.
Mum has another test on Saturday. am trying not worry.Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
Woke up feeling more positive, the relief of not going to work today is pretty strong! Plus the feeling that I can leave if I want to. Either Christmas or Feb. I am under no obligation. Equally I finish in July any way so what the hell.
Just fingers crossed for Mum really.Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
We are now awaiting results. which is always grim. The person doing the test said there was no sign of infection but Mum as always was confused, she wouldn't let anyone go with her, so am not entirely if they saw anything else? but I suppose it is a case of waiting.
had a fairly nice day. am watching a film called the Call, with Halle Berry in. she has terrible hair in it, but she is such a bloody good actress. I love her movies.
then it will be Doctor Who, some kind of food and a quiet evening of reflection.
oo moneywise, I spent 17.14 on pets and plants, £4 on lunch.
Am reading this

Hang in there buffster, i have been in some !!!!! schools in my time. As you say there is a reason some of them fail and are close to the bone. They need shaking up and the good ideas being brought to the forefront. If they keep sweeping it under the carpet -well the carpet just gets bigger. Hope mum and sis get sorted out-let them sort themselves out would be my advice, but it is hard to be indifferent.xBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Have sent you a message Bob, would appreciate you opinion on something.
the film - which made me cry but of course I can't cry cos Mum thinks it is silly. so I didn't and now I have the most banging headache out of no where. Today I needed a good cry and couldn't have one.
am tired, but think I will take one of my sleepy pills so I can relax.
I wish mum would go to bed. She has had a rotten day and has fallen asleep and done that surprise yourself awake thing which is not enjoyable.

Hi Buffy - hope you're feeling a bit more positive today. Why are weekends so short? Can't believe it's Sunday already. The "Sunday blues" always hits me about 6pm-ish, I bet you're the same?I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
-
Yes SA, Sunday blues very prevalent here.
my headache became a migraine at about 5 this morning. was a mess for a few hours. not fun. recovered a bit later in the morning but then felt awful so went back to bed. Woke an hour ago starving and have eaten toast like I hadn't eaten for a week. am still hungry and want more tea!
This means I have done sod all. My only day off.
bit gutted.
in a bit I shall go and have a shower and do some garden related pottering.
maybe.
be back later.

You need to get these migraines under control, they're eating into your free time. What has the Dr done to help?"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0

Offered anti - depressants and once I said no to them they won't offer me anything else. One doctor said the cause was stress, fair enough, put me a waiting list for counselling. six months or so later nothing.
I don't like my doctors, I am going to change to the other practice in the area. I really need to try something other than Imgrain (spelt wrong!) and paracetmol (also spelt wrong!)
In other news, spent 10 hours at work today, going to spend some more time on work tonight
A couple of people who introduced themselves to me at work asked all the usual questions - single? children? etc and it lead me to wonder why and then I remembered!
all I do is work. planning, tutoring, teaching and then researching and reading. All very individual activities and I am so slow at stuff like marking that I spend hours and hours on it.
don't get me wrong, all teachers kill themselves with work but ultimately I don't think I am cut out for it as I never get any quicker. and it is the work of my life. not a family or a house or friends or some kind of creation but books loads and loads of books.
ok tonight's things to do list!
1. clean out piggies
2. clean out hamster
3. mark books
4. plan 3 lessons.
5. hoover room
6. put away clothes
7. feed piggies
oh Sainsbury's 15. 72 but will need to get some more lunch stuff later on.
and I have to pick up my m and s order. all of which will be too small!
right. off now.Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
Hey Buffy,
Hope you are feeling better, and that the pottering in the garden helped.
I know how you feel - I don't get migraines but tension headaches which don't respond to anything.
Teaching is tough - have two siblings who did it both ended up using antidepressants- one because of politics within the school - the other because it was a really rough school.
