We could tell from the 12 week scan that it was a boy because the scan photo they gave us showed him in exactly the right position and you could see the genital nub. Angle of dangle was definitely boy!
But also OH was convinced she was having a boy right from the beginning. This time she doesn't know.
She's in maternity trousers already!
10 days til scan...not like I'm counting or anything!
Oh bless her, I'm getting some after Christmas for the bloating alone! We didn't get to see the nub either at the time or on the pic. Now I've got conflicting evidence I feel like we're properly team yellow, before I was kinda sad that I had such a strong feeling that it had taken the surprise away.
Hang in there Mary, I was exactly the same, so incredibly exhausted and had to eat a mouthful every hour to stop me bringing everything up. I'm glad your scan went well though
Having told my parents now, interestingly I had the same early pregnancy symptoms, cravings and aversions as my mum (she'd never told me before) - even down to the timing of the day when the sickness was worst! Odd how these things work.0 -
Excellent news about the scan, hope you start feeling better soon Mary!
I wasn't expecting to know the sex that early LavendarBee - just opened the envelope, pulled out the scan picture and said "oh, well it's a boy!"Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

OH still majorly off her food. She's lost another kg so that's 3 kg since she was weighed at the booking appointment.
Wasn't anywhere near this bad with DS. She did go off certain foods but there was always something that she was willing to have. She managed tonight's meal ok though. Hopefully only another week or so and she'll be getting her appetite back. Preferably before Christmas!
Scan is this coming Thursday - so 5 days. It's starting to really dragMortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

Pizza, banana and toast are my current staples, a few mouthfuls at a time every hour or so is about the only way I can face anything and try to tame the constant nausea. We had to tell the older 3 about the pregnancy today as the constant vomitting had them all really worried and was becoming impossible to hide.
I hope OH feels better soon Freddie and that the scan date comes around quickly for you!Living in a superhero induced haze :A:A

DS woke up all wheezy and chesty this morning poor thing. No temperature and eating fine so that's good. I decided while we were staying in the bathroom for a while (for the steam) that it was a good opportunity to cut his hair.
Wed agreed that it could do with a trim - its started irritating him a bit and going in his eyes.
Unfortunately my attempt at a 'trim' was not entirely successful
I can't even blame the boy being wriggly - he just sat there good as gold the whole time!
So I've had to get the clippers out and do it quite short. It does look neat now... But I'm dreading OH coming home... I wish sometimes I'd think things through a little bit more! _pale_Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

I'm still alive thankfully :rotfl: although I did get in trouble.
OH has finished for Christmas today. I'm coming back at lunchtime to collect her and head to the scan tomorrow. Suddenly feels like it's come around very quickly!
12+1 still a bit nauseas but definitely improving.

Hi all,
Tentatively dipping my toe in to say a nervous "hi"
I've previously been on this board from pregnancies before (got a poor history unfortunately) but we have an amazing little 17 month old girl at home who is our rainbow baby and lucky number 7.....
....and it looks like I may have lucky number 8 on board.
I have however been at the local hospital this week as I've been bleeding - had an internal scan and it confirms I'm pregnant but too early to see too much - back again Friday 29th Dec, wish us luck!
Nausea has kicked in as it did last time but I was sick from 6 weeks to 6 months then got gestational diabetes. Seriously hoping I don't have that this time.
Lovely to "see" you all.
Big hugs
Gelly

Hi Gelly, I remember you. Must have been on the pregnancy threads at the same time but a couple of months between us. Our son is nearly 15 months old.
Fingers crossed for you that everything will be fine. OH had a bit of bleeding early on with DS but all good. Best of luck for the scan.
We had our dating/NT scan today, all good! Baby looked very still - son was (and still is) a wriggly pig. NT measurement nice and small.
Date has been pushed back which I expected as OV was quite late. So we're at 11+4, due date now 8th July.
So I'll move to next thread on Christmas Eve!Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

Hello, is this very active? I was on here a lot with baby number 1 and found it so helpful, especially in first trimester when no one else to speak too. I’m pregnant again with number 2 but I see no ones posted for a whole month!0
