I think all the pregnancy boards are a bit quiet at the mo'. It's just Freddie and I on 12-24 (I had a bit of time talking to myself!) and think it'll be the same for the next one.
I developed a fear of Italian food as one of my aversions - couldn't tolerate the existence of tomatoes, averse to pasta. The very idea of combining the two made me bring up stomach acid! Funny thing is I later developed a craving for white pasta - go figure.
I think tea is really common to go off, we had my parents over to tell them about the baby after the 12 week scan and my mum was really surprised when she realised that I was drinking tea as I told her!0 -

I hate tomatoes anyway! My tea aversion comes and goes. Today was a good day and I was able to finish all 3 cups but sometimes I only get half way through before I can’t have anymore. I’m drinking tons of water tho.
My mum says she’s never been able to drink tea since she was pregnant with me!0 -
So I’ll create a list
Millysg1 due 18/09/18
Afoolandhermoney due tbc
Covcitygirl due 25/09/18
Dot.1991 due 1/9/180 -
Never wanting tea again sounds horrendous! I don't think there's anything I have permanently gone off really, although as I'm lactose intolerant and can't drink dairy milk I've been drinking alternatives for the last 12 years. I really don't enjoy anything other than Alpro Soya Light milk now! I used to be quite happy with supermarket own brand UHT unsweetened stuff which is much cheaper
forcing myself to have it sometimes now but it's not the same! I may just have to take the hit on this one and stock up when it's on offer.
I've never given a monkeys about brands etc but I did find when my eating was all over the place I really wanted branded versions of some things like Quaker porridge, proper Doritos etc. The heightened sense of taste kicked in with the heightened sense of smell (something about protecting ourselves from bad things I think).
Enjoy everyone!0 -
I couldn’t imagine going off tea forever! I have been drinking just decaf tea with a rare proper tea depending on who is making the tea round at work! I haven’t felt put off by either
I have definitely had more of a preference to savoury things than sweet, particularly salty things. I am also loving eating snack sized blocks of cheese! I haven’t really had any cravings (apart for once really wanting dairylea cheese spread on toast, which I’m having almost every morning because I don’t fancy Jam! I haven’t gone off anything completely yet, probably only thing I could maybe count is jam.
I’m waiting for it to happen but maybe like everything else so far it just isn’t happening. I think that’s why I felt I should have the reassurance scan because I’ve felt so fine it just didn’t seem real, felt nice to see the heartbeat, she couldn’t tell me what it was but said if it was something she was concerned about she would refer to hospital.
Lavender maybe you fancy branded things because typically they have more taste (I’m thinking of chilli heatwave Doritos in particular, yum!) I am definitely liking tasty things that have Lots of flavour!
My due date going off the only time we managed to try that month is the 1st September if I could be added to the listit’s funny I work for an early education company and we sell a product that tracks children’s progress but the system seems to have a hissy fit if a child has a 1st September birthday! So those that know at work think it’s very funny!

Lol!
Don’t you know the first day of your last period? That’s how you work out your due date not on when you think you conceived.
Im expecting to have to have a planned c section after my first pregnancy. Well have to see how this pregnancy progresses and I’ll take the Doctors opinion on what’s best for baby but the could mean an earlier delivery closer to 1st September!
When I came into work this morining there were cheese straws out for people to eat, OMG tasted amazing! Gonna have to take more. CHEESE!0 -
The real aversion to tea seems to have passed, I'm interspersing normal tea with fruit teas now and will get some decaff to try (another colleague who can't drink caffeine for other reasons is back in the office in a few weeks so it won't look that odd to have a box of it in the kitchen).
millysg1 - having told OH last night I rang the doctor's this morning thinking I'd need an appointment to get it all confirmed before seeing the midwife but apparently I don't and I'm seeing the midwife on 1st Feb for a 1hour first appointment. Luckily work are pretty good about time off for appointments so I just need to book half an afternoon off (mostly so I can drive back home in time for it, even with a short appointment I'd need an hour there and back so it won't look odd to leave around 2 for a 3 o'clock one and not go back in).
Lavender & Dot - its garlic and strong cheeses I can't stand at the moment, so Italian food (normally a favourite) is off the menu, I'm also even more sensitive than usual to the smell from colleagues who smoke (its never pleasant but its even worse now)MFiT challenge #60

How did your OH take it?
You already booked in with midwife, that’s great. I couldn’t fill in a form on the hospital website will I was 6 weeks, this week, and I’ll get an email to say when it is! But it won’t be until I’m 10 weeks which is when I’m on holiday so I know I’ll have to call up and rearrange when they send it to me,
I have already gone to the doctors for a blood test though. This is for an on going medical issue I have which gets worse when I’m pregnant. Last time I waited to do it right with the mid wife’s and oby Doctor but as we don’t see anyone here so so long it was 4 months before I saw a doctor and another 2 months before they got my prescription right with many blood tests. I decided to take it into my own hands this time and just called my Doctors saying I wanted a blood test as soon as I found out, I have another one in a couple weeks. I’m not waiting this time as it can affect baby development.
I was feeling off this morning and had a quite day at work so just turned up 1.5 hours late. I’m lucky I have a great work who don’t even question it, or probably really notice.0 -

When you due?0 -
If I go from last period it would be the 3rd sept, but they measured me at dating the 30th aug on Saturday, i know they can get measurements wrong when it’s early so I’m guessing it is just that. I was using ovulation sticks and I had a static smile and strong positive cheap test on the Sunday morning, we had tried on the Saturday.
My manager has been good with me and said if I am feeling off or exhausted then just come in a bit later or leave earlier and she won’t record it, I’ve not had to take advantage of that just yet though.
Hope everyone is feeling ok xx0
