I got 12 emailed to us from yesterday and 8 printed off as part of the fee, they are currently in my handbag and I just keep staring at them. OH took a video of the heartbeat playing too which was amazing and has been listened to and shown to parents at least a hundred times so far!

Hope you get some good photos from your Monday scan Rachy

I recorded the heartbeat of my first and had it made into a soundwave picture from NOTH - love it. Just an idea.

What a lovely idea! Will definitely look into that - I still can't believe it and keep listening to it :o

Sorry I've been off line all weekend.

I'm pleased your scans went well Sweetilemon and Kirsty and that your beans are growing well.

My bleeding hasn't stopped, if anything it has worsened over the weekend, I'm not in any pain, well physically anyway. I had a scan at EPAU this morning, they can see a pregnancy sac and fetal pole but no heartbeat, measurements say 5ish weeks so either dates are wrong or most likely the pregnancy stopped developing a few weeks ago. I now have the 2 week wait for a re-scan.

  • I'm so sorry Mary. Do you think the dates could be wrong? Or are you fairly certain this pregnancy has ended? It's an awful thing to go through. I hope you have lots of support from those around you, time off work if needed. Even emotional pain is exhausting, take lots of care of yourself. We are here if you want to talk on this board or in a private message.

Thanks Cherry, the nurse in Epau looked at the dates with us, for the dates to be wrong I would of had to of had a positive pregnancy test 3/4 days after conception. It's very unlike that a test would of shown positive that early. I am still bleeding, like full on period type bleeding not just spotting or on wiping. My gut feeling is the pregnancy is not viable :( I lost the few symptoms I had a few days before the first lot of spotting started 1-2weeks ago.

It's school holidays so business as usual in the house of Hinge where ever possible :( Mr H is looking after me as much as he can do but there isn't really anything anyone can do. I have open access to epau if the bleeding becomes to much or if I get any pain. Just have to wait now.

I'm so sorry to hear this Mary 😔 Sounds like there is still a bit of hope left, but I understand the 'expect the worst, hope for the best' attitude. Sometimes the not knowing for sure is hard in itself. Always here if you need a chat x
  • Sorry to hear you're going through this Mrs H. Hope you are getting lots of TLC and all the support you need xx
