Can I join you all? I'm pregnant with baby number 4, I have had a handful of miscarriages inbetween all of my healthy pregnancies. I think I am about 8 weeks but my periods have been abit haywire recently.
Will ring to make a booking in appointment with the midwife once the summer holidays are over and the monsters back to school!
Mrs H x
Congratulations! Welcome!! I had my first appointment today with the midwife but she booked me an early scan for Friday because I'm still spotting and had a clot this morning. Really hope it's a sticky bean and I see a heartbeat. Really don't need any more !!!!!! luck.0 -

Yey! Brilliant news 😆0 -
Thanks everyone, yes it was lovely and big relief! I had been very much preparing myself for the worst and hardly daring to hope (even though there was a good chance it would be alright, that's my way of dealing with uncertainty). There was a waiting room full of women, so it was all over very quickly, moving around to take the measurement, and then off I went with just a copy of the letter to my GP so I knew it was real!
Congratulations Mary, and best of luck for Friday Sweetilemon. I really hope you get the good news you deserve.0 -
Fantastic news cherry- I remember exactly that experience when I was 9 weeks and had a weekend of preparing for the worst and hoping for the best, and I'm sure it was much worse for you because of your previous loss. It's such an amazing moment seeing that heartbeat. You'll notice such a difference at 12 weeks as well as0

Hey everyone
Sweetilemon - I remember talking to you on the TTC thread last year but because I've talked to so many people and last year was a bit of a blur for me on my journey, please forgive me for not remembering fully about your sad loss. I can't possibly imagine what you went through. I really hope this pregnancy all works out and you get a little brother or sister for your little angel. I am pleased you are being sent for an early scan.
Cherry - So happy that you got to hear the heartbeat, hopefully this can relax you. I am going for another scan on Monday which will definitely reassure me if there's been a growth in the 2+ weeks.
Welcome MrsH - you can give us tips on how to handle motherhood
I'm finding the nausea really bad, it's started to be persistent all day so I am eating to curb it and in turn that is going to lead me to be putting on weight fast. Ahhhhh. I'm trying to go for yoghurt and fruit but it's savoury I'm craving. But I'm just grateful to have a baby growing inside me and will put up and shut up (with a cake) :rotfl:0 -

Hey Rachylou. ..I also remember you but agree, can't remember details of your journey. I dipped my toes in the ttc thread but at the time my husband wasn't on board so couldn't really join in.
Seems like such a long wait until my scan! So hoping there is a little growing bean in there, I'm overthinking everything. Still spotting 😔
Yey...sickness is a good sign rachylou, yeah it's hard not to self medicate with carbs lol I've only been sick once so far. Xx0 -
