I know! I guess it's because they are excited for me but I made it quite clear that it wasn't for everyone to know.. and they still gossiped argh!
valuable lesson learned!
How are you all today? 11w 4 today.. 8 sleeps until the scan!:rotfl:0 -
Gutted? I'd be furious.
I want to tell my family but I also want to wait until at least the midwife appointment when I'll be 8 weeks but other half is away at work when I go and up until I'm about 13 weeks so looks like we'll be telling everyone after a scan.
I'm meant to be a bridesmaid two days after my due date for my brothers wedding so I can imagine Christmas will be spent making plans for that and I don't want to lie to people.
Felt horrendous the last few days. I'm not sure if it was hormones, migraine or a bug. Sat in the loo at work crying as I felt so bad.
Feel ok now. 6 weeks on weds so I guess I've got more feeling rubbish to look forward to.
Have a good weekend ladies0 -

My MIL is the one telling people! I didn't know til his cousin congratulated me- she'd been told by his grandma who'd been told by his mother. Told BIL and SIL too.
Then had the cheek to ask me if she could tell people. Said I knew she already had, and no more til we've spoken to his dad0 -
That's what is putting me off about telling anyone. One person tells just one who tells just one and before you know it everyone knows. Which is not what we want just yet.
Plus it's our news to tell, not anyone else's.0 -

I had a good few colleagues at work so know (most guessed) and none of them told anyone. Similarly we told family after our emergency scan at 10 weeks, but they didn't tell anyone outside of family until dating scan at nearly 14. I was quite surprised! It is seriously not on to tell other people when they've been told not to. My mum even offered to pretend she didn't know when she did as we saw them a week before OH's parents and she didn't want MIL to be upset.0 -
So glad you ladies get it! I have never outed anyone (inc the gossips concerned!) so was really sad. Many is the time I have feigned ignorance!
Munchkin poor youI felt awful when I hit 5 weeks 2... hormones/sickness.. luckily it was my half term so spent the week in bed!
Arbrighton I would be furious if my mil did that... arghhhh!!!:rotfl:0 -
ooh I would be annoyed if people started telling. Scan is a week tomorrow and we will then be telling people but will be asking that no one puts it on social media until we have and to family they are only able to tell family until we announce it officially as we have some close friends and things that we would like to tell personally and I would hate for them to find out via someone else!
Also going to ask family to not buy anything until after the 20wk scan.
Starting to come out the otherside from feeling constantly nauseas (11+3) and I actually having a craving - cereal!!!! :rotfl: DH thinks it's hilarious, I've had it for lunch/tea some days when I just don't want anything else! Still off most meat, I can have small bits but not keen!
Munchkin - feel sorry for you, it's hard and it's so strange how it ebs and flows. Sending hugs x
Firebird - I really hope they get you sorted soon! That's so unfair. It shouldn't matter that your 'out of area' they should still prioritise you before 14weeks!!Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:
Mum to two boys :heartpuls0 -

Both Husband and BIL basically knew that would happen and kinda said told you so. I'm sh** at keeping secrets too but at least it's my secret to keep/ not keep. 9 weeks today. Still nauseous bleuguhhghghg. Bored of beige food0 -
Hi ladies
Can I join you please? I'm 5 weeks today, due early Aug 2016. I found out last Tuesday night and have taken a second test since just to check. We fell pregnant in our second cycle this time.
This will be our second baby. We already have a 4 year old son.
We told my parents this weekend and also my brother and his girlfriend but won't be telling anyone else till after the first scan (although I'm itching to share my news!). I'm feeling ok, no sickness but quite tired although I'm not sure if that's the effect of the 4 year old!
Good luck to you all. Hope your pregnancies progress well! :T0 -
Welcome Peppa x you're only a few days behind me, I'm six weeks Wednesday.0
