Less than 12 weeks pregnant club! Part 4!!

Hey Ratison!
I did do a couple even after the Clear Blue digi, but it's probably not advisable!
Definitely try and relax - lots of GPs won't want to see you at all (mine just refer you to a midwife) and even if they see you, I don't think they'll do a blood test.
For me, it did feel strange that I got to my first midwife appt at 7+1 with no 'formal' confirmation.
Hope all goes wellLBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
Congratulations Ratison. I like you struggled to believe my BFP. I tested again about 10 days after my initial batches of BFPs. That coupled with symptoms definitely helped me believe that I am in fact pregnant.
Penguin I'm with you here, I was bloated for a good while a few weeks back, but it seems to have gone, and now I'm just sort of a little bit bigger. Sort of a smallish pot belly :rotfl: Jeans are definitely starting to pinch.
I was speaking to my trainer and she gave me this list of numbers that make up the weight increase in pregnancy, quite interesting. I'm surprised I've only put on a pound or two, considering the fact my breasts have felt like they have doubled in size :rotfl:0 -
Ratison as others have said try not to worry too much and speak to your GP reception to see what they do in your area. I don't have to see my GP they just gave me the number for the midwife and I could ring to book in once I was 7weeks (appt in when in 9+6).
I did one test in evening then two the next morning, one of which was a digi. I also did another digi a week later just to see the weeks go upbut I had it in already I didn't go buy anymore.
Well I'm feeling quite 'rounded' already!!!! some of it is bloat but I can tell which bit is 'bump' by the feel. Hiding until after scan is going to be fun :rotfl:Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:
Mum to two boys :heartpuls0 -
Thank you so much all of you - vanilla, cats, poddle, April and newthrift - you're my fairy preg-mothers! I'll stop testing now and will ring the GP tomorrow and see what the process is in my area. I promise to pay forward the advice to nervous newbies when I'm further on!0

April that sounds exactly like me! I look like I've had a boob job! Much better in my new bras though, I feel like the risk of giving myself a black eye has reduced. OH is loving it!
Ratison-Congrats! I didn't test at all after the initial twin pack, but I tested at 5.5 weeks and was already quite symptomatic, and the nausea kicked in a couple of days later.
We've told the in-laws today, they're very pleased. OH's grandma made a sneaky comment to him about her other 'illegitimate' grandchild, but I guess things are very different if you're in your 90s. MIL asked if we'll be getting married (maybe one day). Anyone else living in sin and surprised at reactions? I'm not fussed about it, but OH has been surprised he is a little bit- which has surprised us both as we thought it would be the other way round! Ah well.
I'm 12 weeks on Tuesday so it feels weird to think I'll be moving on from this thread soon. I've got my dating scan at 13+2 so think I'll hang round until after that.0 -
Congratulations Ratison! Welcome to the club
Penguin, I definitely feel like my belly has changed! I don't have amazing posture all the time, but had quite a slim stomach when standing straight. Now I feel like I can really see it, even when I'm holding my belly in. I'm only 9 weeks tomorrow and won't be telling my parents till around 14!
My OH's mum keeps telling me that I'm getting too skinny (im not!), but I've had to wear loose fitting tops. Although, the only time I don't feel nauseas is when I'm eating, which obviously isn't helping matters! I've put on 2lbs so far (but I suspect that was down to eating out about 4 times last week!).0 -
Wow, sweet, jealous of you enjoying eating and being able to eat out. I currently feel like my love of food has taken a very extended break. I'm just fitting in what food I can in between bouts of feeling like I never want to see food again...
Having said that I seem to be getting close to striking the right balance keeping the nausea at bay, but seems impossible to completely suppress it. Ovia pregnancy said today that the placenta has begun taking over the burden of nurturing the baby which should steady hormone levels. I really hope so!!!Cleared my credit card debt of £7123.58 in a year using YNAB! Debt free date 04/12/2015.
Enjoying sending hundreds of pounds a month to savings rather than debt repayment!0 -

I'm afraid I'm going to put on about ten stone!
Having said that, I've let like today has been a good one, I've not really felt overly nauseated today so have been eating normally again.0 -
Rang the GP today - I have to call back when I'm between 8-10 weeks, and book into the midwife clinic. It seems so long to wait!0

I seem to be stuck between eating and not being able to eat. Like you Sweet if I don't eat in time, then I can't eat at all. Taken to having a packet of crackers next to my bed so I can munch on one before I get up.0
