  • Anws - or call in sick?
  • Morning All,

I'm please to see and hear that we're trying to be more positive! I know exactly how much you can doubt everything, fortunately I have no reason to believe there are any problems but with our 12 week scan on Monday doubt does creep in.

It's day 3 off sick for me, this flippin cold is now starting to frustrate me. I do feel better, nose is still driving me bonkers but I'm hoping i'll be back to work tomorrow.

Could your DH tell his work he's got a drs appt?
I agree with this idea - before my DH had told his boss we were expecting, he said he needed time off for a medical appointment and got it. It's worth a try if you still feel uneasy telling people! :)

Daisiegg, really pleased the meeting went well and that you told your Head Teacher and everything was fine. I hope you slept well and you're feeling a bit brighter this morning. Your decision for the change in attitude is a very good one, and one I think I will have to adopt rather than just expecting the worst all the time... I'll do it after Friday. :p

WTDN, I found the early weeks reeeeeally dragged too, which is horrid when you're on tender-hooks! In positive news I have found the last couple of weeks (once I reached double figures) have flown, so it does get better. :)

Alipops, I hope you feel better soon - it's horrible, isn't it? I've got a stinking cold too and that combined with pregnancy fatigue is really wiping me out. Take it easy today and make sure you don't go back to work too soon!

Yes Mrs_I it's very rubbish. I hate having a cold normally, but with only paracetomol to take it's even more irritating than usual. I'm hardly ever off work, but am feeling better today. Also, as I'm a teacher, I've only got 2 more working days until a week off so will muddle through them. The cold plus the pregnancy tiredness is not a good combination at all, I feel for you there. At least I have my 12 week scan on Monday to look forward to!

  • Weirdly enough I think I got used to being an infertile. I think I'm still in that mindset.

This a million times over. Also feel really guilty for it happening naturally rather than the ivf i'd resigned myself too. These hormones are making me crazier than usual!
  • TCD - you're a dafty :)

I started spotting this morning. Brown blood then red this afternoon. I phoned the hospital but they are not going to bring my scan forward. I had an external visitor so had to go back to my desk and pretend nothing was happening and keep entertaining him when I just wanted to go home.

Oh lord :( I hope you are ok. How is the spotting now? Did they give a reason for not bringing forward your scan?

    When is your scan?

If I was in your position Id be ringing my gp and asking them to arrange a scan for me.

Are you still bleeding peonie? I called 111 then went to the gp - haven't even told my clinic.

But sending hugs!! It's so stressful. Are you cramping??
