I dye mine at home using a live permanent colour (my colour is ultra violet!!).
Maybe you could ring up a salon and pretend you are interested in booking in for a colour and explain what you have usually have done and ask if this is ok during pregnancy and see what they say.0 -
I've just had a look online and some websites do suggest you should wait until the second trimester before dying you hair.0

Yeh I had read that to! Agh I don't know what to do0

Clara just popping in to say my friend was 6wks PG when I got married and she has a full head colour done (literally just painted on all over) and although I know she asked her hairdresser if she was ok to do it (she said yes, also PG herself) she did have it done and was fine. I also know a couple of hairdressers who have been PG and both work with hair dye all day and have there's done. I think it's personal preference but I get the feeling more people have it coloured than don't. Hope that helps in some wayChristmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:
Mum to two boys :heartpuls0 -
Thanks Newthrift,
Yeh a full head colour is what I get done! I'm pretty sure my cousins wife (also a hairdresser) got hers done a few times while pregnant and also worked in the salon.
I think your right, it's just preference since there are no proven risks.
I think i'll wait another couple of weeks then get it done then next time I can discuss with her my options when she knows my situation xx0 -
I'd say it's fine Clara, just maybe make sure loads of windows are open so that you don't inhale lots of fumes :-)Officially Mrs B as of March 2013

I had an all over colour at 8 weeks (I was a bridesmaid and just couldn't look at roots for years on the photos!!) and then again last week at 17 weeks - I will probably leave it another 8 weeks again now, my GP said not to worry about it xMancMama4 (35) TTC since Apr 15, MMC Dec 15, Our Rainbow Baby Charlie arrived Dec 16 :heart2:0

Thanks Mancmamma!
If I wait another couple of weeks I should be 8+5I understand not wanting to look back on roots! It's such a hard life being a (fake) blondie! :rotfl: I've tried a couple of times to go back to my natural colour (whatever that may be!) but I just can't live with it!

Hey ladies just checking in hope we are all well :-) I'm still feeling super weird, 10 weeks on Monday and still don't really feel pregnant at all. Nausea has gone, and was minor to begin with, boobs don't seem much different and am maybe slightly more tired in the evenings but barely. Still pretty hungry so I'm hoping that's a sign!!
I really hope I'm just lucky....booking in is on Weds so maybe that will make it seem more real...Officially Mrs B as of March 2013

Hi Cats! Glad you aren't suffering too many symptoms! I'm 7 weeks today.
My stretching cramps have eased right off but I'm finding it seriously difficult to stay awake! Lol
I'm ready for bed around 9 every night and today I've barely got off the couch and just woken from a 2 hour nap :rotfl:
Apart from that the nausea hasn't appeared too much but I most certainly have a decrease in appetite and my boobs aren't as sore but look much bigger already
I can't wait for my booking in appointment, I think it will make it feel
More real! I'm not for another week on Tuesday for mine but excited/nervous xxx0
