Yeah I'm walking a lot and going to the gym but just doing much less. After 12 weeks I will tell my trainer and go back to classes but just with lots of tweaks!!Officially Mrs B as of March 2013

Wow so exhaustion seems to have hit this weekend. Did a couple of hours painting this morning and now can't move off the sofa!! Such a beautiful day as well but I don't have energy for anything! I'm assuming this is pregnancy related anyway rather than me just being lazy...!Officially Mrs B as of March 2013

Aww cats, just you take it easy!
I had a terrible weekend! I did nothing but sleep and when I felt almost human, I attempted food only to be sick and have a pounding headache. Luckily it's gone this morning for my return to work. feel like I haven't had a weekend
I've had a little brown spotting most days since my scan but have decided to try not to worry about it too much.0 -
Thanks Clara
Was your scan internal? If so it's more likely just irritationOfficially Mrs B as of March 2013

Hi Cats, yes scan was internal. I thought along those lines as has only been a little bit, much less than what I had before scan.
Cramping has subsided also. Managing my trapped wind a lot better too
I'm starving now, will need to see what I can manage at lunchtime. Don't seem to fancying anything I normally have to eat! :rotfl:0 -
Hi all, hope everyone is well!
I'm looking for some advice!
I was at the doctor today (not pregnancy related) so thought I would ask a question (pregnancy related) that's been niggling me since before BFP.
I have my hair coloured blonde, full head, high lift (high lift not bleach, I think!) left on for around 60 mins usually every 4-6 weeks. The doctor looked at me like "you're so vein"!
Firstly at the moment, my main concern is that my hairdresser is family! My roots need done now and I always get my hair done before I go on holiday (1 month away). She is a total gossip so I would not be confiding in her about our news. At the same time, she will start to wonder why I'm not getting my colour done, as will the rest of my friends and family! This would be a bigger giveaway than no alcohol :rotfl:
I had thought about getting foils done as there is less contact with the scalp but I don't like the finish.
The doctor said there is no proof of any risks (but she didn't get her hair done through any of her 3 pregnancies) but that it is fine to do "if you need to".
What are all of your thoughts on this? I think once everybody knows our news, I will look into something with less upkeep, but for now, during my first trimester before I go on hols, would you, have you???0 -
Ok so I haven't done this and have to say I am minimising chemical contact as much as possible, but I honestly think as a one off it should be fine. Is the place you get it done well ventilated and everything?
In an ideal world you wouldn't do it - but I think it's more all the time that would be a risk.
Just me though and easy for me to say - I'm not even getting my nails done since I found out!! But that is partly because I needed a kick to save the money anyway :-)Officially Mrs B as of March 2013

Hi Cats,
I get it done at home, she's a mobile hairdresser. Yes I would need to find something that could be done less - I'm thinking there must be loads of woman who become pregnant and don't just go 9 months with regrowth!
I got my nails done a couple of weeks ago (Shellac) didn't realise you couldn't get your nails done!0 -
I have dyed my hair during my pregnancy, I have tried to leave it longer between each time than I normally do, but from looking online there seems to be a consensus that it is ok (but like with a lot of things there has been no formal medical research etc done that would say it is or isn't so I'm sure professionals would go on the side of caution). I have however read that sometimes the colour doesn't take the same, so you do need to be aware that your hairdresser could do the same colour she always does and it may not come out the same colour it usually does. (I read on another forum the other day that a hairdresser said this happened with one of her clients and it was only after the colour didn't come out right that the client told her she was 10 weeks pregnant.)0

Thanks Thinkpink!
What kind of dye do you use and do you go to a salon?
I have read about the colour coming out different! Tbh this sometimes happens to me anyway with being blonde lol at least if I get it done a couple Of weeks before I go on hols and it turns out bad I'll have time to get it fixed!!!0
