Congratulations on your wedding Tinks! Sorry to hear about the bleeding. Are you going to see anyone now you're home? Maybe you could mention it at your booking in tomorrow - good luck with this too.

VicVics I hope you feel better soon. Xx
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Hi Tinks - OH had some bleeding around the end of week 9. It didn't have an obvious cause. We went to GP to get a referral to the EPAU for a scan.

Baby was fine. They were also able to tell us at 10 weeks that, although it was still too early to completely rule out anencephaly, the babies head looked exactly as it should and he had a good mirror image brain.

Didn't stop us still being really nervous going in to the 12 week scan but it helped!

If we hadn't of had the 10 week scan, we probably would have paid to have a private scan. Especially as we hadn't even had our booking appointment until 11 weeks!

Almost certainly, as you described, the bleeding will have been caused by having sex and therefore it shouldn't be anything to worry about. Especially as you haven't had any more since.

But if you're concerned then you should definitely see your GP.

Tinks I definitely think you should mention it at booking in - chances are its just from sex though, I think that's fairly common from what I've read. Hope booking in goes well.

9+1 today and getting mega nerves about Saturday's private scan... a girl announced in my office yesterday and was showing her pic which was just gorgeous and I just kept thinking please, please let that be me in 3 weeks!!

I don't feel quite as bad this week I think, a little less queasy but still tired, and boobs feeling huge!

I'm very conscious of getting to 10+5 as that would take me past when the bleeding leading up to the mmc began... yikes, the next few weeks things are going to get very real indeed x

    Thanks everyone one.

Appointment went fine. The midwife wasn't concerned about the bleeding at all, and since I've had nothing else since it's put my mind at ease. 12 week scan booked for 23rd June, cannot wait!

My skinny jeans no longer fit properly, had to wear them unbuttoned today. Feels too early to be buying maternity stuff though, has anyone started on the maternity clothes yet?

That's good news Tinks, the 23rd will be here before you know it!

I've not braved the maternity clothes yet but definitely will be after 12 weeks. Try a hair bobble looped through your jean button hole, might give you enough extra to do them up x

Thanks for posting about the hair bobble, works wonders!

I've got my 7 week early scan at 08:30 tomorrow morning, not sure I'm going to be able to sleep tonight, trying to stay calm.

    Hope that everyone is ok.

Tinks, I found that I got quite bloated at times early on but that settled down and I could wear my normal clothes until into the second trimester. Leaving top buttons/zip slightly undone with a longer top might be comfier?

Congrats on your wedding tinks! And glad the appointment went well!

How did the scan go Shazzer??

I've felt a bit better this week, not as much nausea but work has been so crazy I've barely had time to notice! I bought myself a pair of cheap jeans from New Look, just in a bigger size than usual and they are great...they are high waisted too so hide my bloated belly quite well.
