    Evening :)
Had a lovely day out today but I'm tired now!!! I think I'm panicking a little too much but I lifted out the car seat with a 1month old in from car to pram and then car to house later (this is about a 20m walk) and in total weighed less than how I pack my shopping bags actually. I'm just hoping I didn't do the wrong thing? I didn't feel strained and when I exercise we use weights/carry heavy items but I'm just feeling a little worried now. It was one of those moments where if I had said no I won't pick her up it would of looked really strange. Am i being a bit over panicked?
Surely there is mums out there who have a small baby and are expecting another who have to lift all the time! Sorry I'm just rambling now!

yes you are.. I have a huge 2.5 year old I lug about and a basket of wet laundry will be more weight than a car seat with a tiny baby.. I shift furniture, and decorate and all sorts of things.. I was fitting carpets at 6 months pregnant with a couple of mine.

I have 13 months between 2 of mine, the older one didnt walk until nearly 15 months!.. she was often lifted.

Thank you pigpen, I think I just needed a bit of reassurance and maybe a slap haha :p
Tired and being a worrier are not always the best combination!

Think i must have hit the 6 week mark - struggling to keep it together at work here with feelings of nausea, my work colleague had a mini fry at his desk this morning and I near lost it. I haven't actually been sick as yet, although have felt ill all week, Copious amounts of sugary tea seem to be helping, but I will be stocking up on the ginger biscuits this evening!!!

skea56 Know how your feeling. Morning sickness has hit here too. With my first I was never actually sick but just always felt like i was going to be. I think I am going to be the same again this time... x

newthrift Congratulations! I don't think you need to worry too much about lifting the carseat. I have to lift around my 2 year old who is roughly the height of a 3 yr old thanks to her 6ft daddy. With my first I was also putting curtains up and decorating well into my third trimester. I think its about listening to your body and when it tells you its tired have a rest x

My photos were free when I had my first so I really hope they are free again. Although having to pay won't stop me from having them :D

    6 weeks pregnant today.

Got back from Cornwall yesterday and feel completely wiped out. Just so tired. Not helped by the little one waking up at 6 :( Waiting for DH to wake up and take over watching monkey then will be going back to bed I think. Journey home was horrific! Travel sickness combined with morning sickness is a horrible combination, especially for a 6 hr car ride. Which turned into 8 hrs thanks to me needing to stop for fresh air so often :(

Anyway thankfully back home now so planning on a weekend at home relaxing and recuperating (we all came down with colds as well whilst away haha). Now I am going on a mission to find something carby to curb my sick feeling :rotfl:

Hello all, I'm back from a lovely relaxing holiday

Welcome Newthrift, so lovely to see you here :j and of course welcome to the others who have joined us

So I am 9 weeks today. Still not getting much in the way of symptoms which worries me at times but I feel good and the general consensus is that this is a good thing and I should embrace it.

Telling my mum today so very excited :j:j:j

Hi all! Hope everyone is enjoying the bank holiday!

    Welcome newthrift!

Glad you enjoyed your hol Rachy...we had a fab time on ours too but I am shattered! I would not recommend anyone in their first trimester goes on a city break! We are always so active on hols and love exploring but it was just not happening. I had to rest every 10mins! Was still lovely to be away in the sun!

Also, a while back I asked for advice about having my sis in law to stay. Well it was last night and I think I got away with it. I made up a story about picking up a bug on hols so didn't fancy drinking. She was fine with it but showed up with a bottle of fizz anyway and immediately poured us a glass! I pretended to sip on it for a while til she left the room then I poured it out and filled my glass with grape juice. It wasn't totally convincing looking but I don't think she noticed. If she did she had the decency not to say!

Anyway, we have our early scan this afternoon. Nervous and excited!

Hope the scan went well pink petal. We are still deciding whether we want to do this or not. We didn't with out first but thinking it might be quite nice with this baby.

I told my parents at the weekend and amazingly my mum had already guessed! Apparently she was holding herself back from asking haha. Me blubbering at a Britain's Got Talent rerun when they last came over was a dead giveaway. Interestingly my husband told me it's also why he suspected we may have caught this time because I was crying at everything I watched on telly. Didn't realise I was that much of an emotional wreak lol. To be honest I am glad I told them because when me and monkey went over for a roast dinner (not only did I score extra yorkshire pudding) I also couldn't keep my hand off of their sliced fruit loaf haha. There was a dead giveaway if ever I had one.

Today is a day at home trying to clean up downstairs a little and catch up on the holiday washing. That's after I have had a sit down because feeling very sick after eating my cereal x

Hi All, hope everyone is well?

Glad you enjoyed your hols Rachy and Pink, I was away at a wedding in the Lakes at weekend and its just about wiped me out... I couldn't even get off the sofa yesterday. Getting up for work is getting increasingly difficult!! 8 weeks today.

I didn't feel too bad when I was away but feel awful again now. Gah!

Booking in on Thursday so should get my 12 wk scan date then x

The scan was amazing! I can't believe how much we could see at 9 weeks. The heart was beating away and the wee thing was jumping about like crazy and waving it's tiny arm buds. It was unbelievable! They dated me at 9+2 which is exactly what I thought based on my cycles and not what the doc had told me based on the wheel that assumes a 28 day cycle! So due date 31 December! Happy new year indeed!

We got a cd included with about 10 pics on it and we must have looked at them about 100 times last night. It just makes it seem so much more real.

While she was scanning she spotted a cyst on one of my ovaries but it's apparently really small and nothing to worry about?? She said it was something to do with the egg and it will probably disappear on it's own. Anyone else heard of this??

That's lovely that you told your parents VicVics, I can't wait to do that. Thought I'd wait til 12 week scan but not sure if I can!!
