Thanks tinks! Hope you have a fab time and the wedding is amazing!

Booking app went fine, pretty much what I expected and made it all seem a bit more real. Midwife told me if my nausea is really bad I can get something for it from my gp so I may go and speak to her when I get back from hols.

Hope everyone has a great week xx

Good morning :-) I'm delicately putting my toe in!! I had a couple of faint positives over the weekend (DH thought I was seeing things haha!) but I just knew in my gut and I've done a first response with FMU and there is clearly two lines there! I need to do a digital at somepoint this week (probs tomorrow) but I tipped my sample *tmi* away so couldn't use same one! I wasn't actually due on until tomorrow but something in my said to test! and last time (unfortunately I had a MC at 7weeks) I never got a positive until 2 days late so I was surprised it showed ready.
I've only really got tender/veiny/fuller boobs, and on and off I get a bit like PMS cramps which I know is normal if a little terrifying!

Congratulations newthrift it's lovely to see you here. I hope you have a sticky bean too. I lost one at only 5 weeks in January so understand the fear but the cramps are completely normal.

I have my scan today. I'm so nervous even though my scan at 9 weeks was fine. I guess I've also built a fear up that even if there's a heartbeat there might be something seriously wrong with the baby. The odds are in my favour though so I should just put it out of my mind.

Hi all, new poster to this thread, have read through with interest, currently about 4-5 gone so still very early stages. Was feeling great so far until yesterday, went out with friends on Saturday night, and thankfully had control of the kitty so was able to order me a sparkling water or 7up and pretend it was something stronger.
However I was up sick all night and then never lifted my head yesterday at all, it helped to keep my cover as such as everyone assumed I was hungover but even today I feel a bit wick - feel sick but not actually the urge to be sick...is this what morning sickness is?? Excuse my complete and utter ignorance - first timer here and my partner is the only one that knows so far and he knows as much as me!!

All went well thankfully. I can't believe they charged £5 for a pic though! Due date of 28th November so they thought I was further along than my private early scan thought which was a surprise.

The scan prices vary... My colleague got hers for free as the sonographer gave them to her and said pay outside, or don't....!! We had to pay on a machine, £5 each, before they gave us the photos. I think the first one should be free then additional ones be charged!

My local hospital charge £5 for 2, but then gave us three pictures at the 12 week scan then, at the 20 week I said we would get two and she gave us five and as the pay machine wasn't working we got them for free!! It really does vary according to hospital.
