Good news on booking in newcook - that's ace about it being at home, how convenient! xMancMama4 (35) TTC since Apr 15, MMC Dec 15, Our Rainbow Baby Charlie arrived Dec 16 :heart2:0

Glad your scan went well mancmama! Must have been amazing hearing the heart beat! Still two weeks to wait for our early scan. Excited already!
I had such a busy weekend and I'm shattered today. We had a communion on Saturday and I think I got away with not drinking as I had a 5k run the next day for charity so I just said I was driving so as not to be hungover for that. There was chat about organising a night out for the bank hol weekend at the end of May but I'll cross that bridge when we come to it!
My nausea has been out of control today. Literally all day long. The thought of food makes me feel ill, but I only feel better when I eat! Typical!

Lovely news Mancmama
Welcome Ruby but I imagine you are off again soon
I had my booking in appointment today. Questions were as imagined. She didn't seem too concerned about my back ache but there is a physio service I can self refer to if it returns and is unmanageable. She couldn't take bloods due to not finding a good vein and so she sent me to the preg assessment unit at the hospital since I work there. They were a little bit annoyed since I told them I am not having my baby there but they eventually did them (the point being that those bloods would be processed there by the midwife at the surgery anyway).
I will get my scan appointment once my referral is sent off which could be 2 weeks. Expecting it to be around mid June.
I thought things would seem more real now but they don't. I didn't even have to do a test to confirm I was pregnant - do the bloods/water sample do this? I found it all a bit odd that they just took my word for it (like you said Ruby).
Oh and whilst sat in the PAU, a guy was sat near me and got the news his grandchild had been born. He was so excited and proceeded to tell me she was only 4cm dilated half an hour ago - can I have that labour please? :rotfl:0 -

No, you told them you were pregnant.. if you're lying they will find out at the scan.. they don't bother retesting .. I think the last time a gp wanted to do their own test for me was 1998.. the hospital/MW have never done themLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Haha. Two First Response and a Clearblue test were my witnesses0 -
Hello all, may I join?
I have just had my BFP with baby #2. I am still in shock slightly but I did 2 cheapy internet test this morning that came in positive. Of course that wasn't enough evidence so I nipped to boots and picked up a first response and a clearable. Both of which have also come back positive. According to the Clearable I am 2-3 weeks but working it out based on AF I am 4+2 weeks. I haven't yet rang the doctors because I have been just letting it all sink in a little bit ;-) Will ring them tomorrow though so I can get all booked in.Nov Grocery challenge - £0/£3000 -
Congrats VicVics and welcome:j:j
Are you aware that the Clearblue is based on the conception time not the amount of weeks pregnant you are? I was 3-4 weeks and my test showed 1-2 weeks. Certainly confused my OH0 -
Scan was all good, nice to know I've not been making it up/imaginging it for the last few weeks! :heartpuls Didn't manage to do the NT measurement because of the position the baby was in but now I'm not sure I want it doing anyway.
Mancmama so glad your scan also went well :T
After that brief intro I am indeed moving on to the next thread - I'm now 13+3 with an EDD shifted forward ever so slightly by 2 days  Good luck to everyone here and I'll continue lurking and hope to see you on the next thread in the next few weeks!0 -
Great news Ruby, good luck and hope to see you on the next thread!
Welcome aboard Vicvics and congratulations X
Feeling rubbish today and not helped by someone at work telling me it was noticed I was off yesterday morning and someone wondered out loud if I was preg again... I really don't want to feel like people are watching and wondering for the next 6 weeks... its got me all worked up!! I'm not ready to tell and people should leave me alone after last time!MancMama4 (35) TTC since Apr 15, MMC Dec 15, Our Rainbow Baby Charlie arrived Dec 16 :heart2:0 -

Sadly people just can't mind their own business... luckily no-one asked me outright and it helped that the girl I work next to was suffering from morning sickness several times a dayJust try to ignore them and focus on getting through the next few days. Do you have a work mate you can tell who can help cover for you?
