Hope the scan went well Rinroo.

I've noticed I've really lost my appetite over the last few days, and the idea of most things for dinner just makes me feel sick! The only thing I fancy is always naughty food, and even that is quite limited as to what I fancy. I'm going out for dinner with some friends tomorrow and I usually really like the food at the restaurant we are going to and there's usually four or five things I can't decide between, well at the moment I don't fancy anything at all on the menu!

I've been getting like this but really hungry at the same time. Just have to pick something simple and get on with it to stop my stomach screaming in hunger and feeling sicky.

Hope the meal goes well x

    Hi ladies,

Had my scan today they dated me as being exactly 13 weeks. Had a really grumpy lady doing the scan only saw baby for a whopping 30 seconds really disappointed. I know they have checks and measurements to do but she shown us the heart beat then moved the screen, she didn't even point out head, arms, legs etc... When I asked if everything was ok and if all looked good/normal she just mutted "yes, at this stage" that's it!

Don't get me wrong I know they do this a trillion times a day so it all gets a bit dull for them but some women wait an age for this scan and I left feeling so disappointed. I'm just thankful we had a private scan a few weeks ago. The photo was naff too but baby was super wriggly DH said she kept moving around.

ThinkPink I've completely gone off meat..all I want at the minute is pasta or jacket potatoes :o

Glad your scan went well, although it's a shame the lady wasn't very helpful.

I think I am going to have a private scan, but im going to try and wait as long as possible! Ideally I want to wait until I think I'm 10 weeks as my mmc was around the ten week mark, but I may give in before then!!

All I want is chip shop chips and curry sauce! I have only had that once, although if it wasn't the fact I'm already overweight I would have had it a lot more times! Was so tempted to get a Chinese today as I really fancied chicken curry and fried rice, had a spaghetti carbonara instead! I'm struggling with breakfast and lunch too, I just feel full all the time, even if I havent eaten! Hubby makes me drink a small glass of milk too every day as my calcium intake is pretty low, that's always a struggle to drink!!

    Hi niknok!

That's a shame rin, like you say, they do it everyday but no need to be like that! The NHS are not my favourite people at the moment anyway.

I'm just getting over my food aversions although in the evening I can never decide what to eat. I had a really bad carb loading phase a few weeks back.

I'm now 12 weeks and counting down to my scan next Saturday, I just hope this week goes quickly :D

  • Hi niknok :)

Rinroo - what a horrible woman. You would of thought she'd have realised parents want to see the scan properly. Hopefully your next one will be with someone different!

Not long to go now till your scan jtr :)

Midwife phoned me today so got my booking in appt on 15th.

I'm cautiously saying hello, I'm around 5 weeks at the moment and it still feels very surreal. I keep wanting to re-test just to check!

We haven't told anybody yet and are hoping to wait until 12 weeks+ ideally, if we can.

Looking forward to sharing what will hopefully be a happy journey for us all!

    Welcome beckyy, congratulations!

So today I've lost all faith in the NHS. They finally sent my NT scan letter.... For when I'm 14 weeks and 2 days, so outside their criteria. When I spoke to ante natal last week they had my due date as 15th August, I told them it's the 13th based on my early scan and ovulation but even if they ignored my dates, I'd still be 14 weeks.

    Such a joke.

That's not very helpful, are they offering you an earlier date?
