Thanks for the welcomes.
Kynthia: I don't mind what we have. A girl would be lovely so we have 'one of each' but another boy would be lovely for ds so really don't mind. OH is more towards a girl though.
I've always had lemon with hot water as my first drink of the day. I find it really refreshing. I've always drank decaf tea too so won't raise any suspicions there!0 -
Welcome dinglefoot and blueneleh, lovely to have you here! :j
Have you had your dating scan date yet rinroo? Still waiting for mine too
Had our second private scan this morning and baby measuring spot-on 10+6 with hb of 178. Sonographer was great and gave us full profile of arms, legs and face. I kept really still and baby was waving it's arms and kicking it's legs, so amazing!
We've bought our first couple of vests because it's starting to feel real and my anxiety is now declining thankfully.
There are certain NHS recommended things I take with pinch of salt but caffeine is not particularly good for you regardless and switching to decaff and cutting down isn't exactly a hardship is it?
Very happily married on 10th April 2013

Thank you for the welcomes and congratulations
I don't think I really have much caffeine intake as I don't drink coffee (or tea for that matter). I am vegetarian however, so I need to try and eat meat and fish again (even though I can't stand the taste and texture), to make sure me and my little poppy seed are getting the right nutrients (I'm referring to it as a poppy seed because apparently that's the size it is right now haha)

Well I'm bleeding bright red blood. I feel like I'm supposed to call someone or do something but my GP and the local epu is closed at weekends and I haven't been referred to a midwife yet.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0

Oh no Kynthia hope everything will be ok is it a lot of blood? I'd call the NHS 111 number and ask advise they'll probably recommend a trip to A&E.
JTR: I've just had my appointment through this morning for dating scan for Friday 29th so less than a week to wait, think I can manage that! I was all for booking another private scan Monday. My last Scan put me at 9+2 so I should be 12+6 Friday if they dated me right. I'm ready to start telling people now.0 -
Kynathia, I would try either out of hours gp or 111 and if necessary I think I would go straight to a and e.
Really hope everything is ok.x0 -
Oh crossed post with rinroo.
I keep getting a sicky acid reflux kind of taste at the back of my throat, I've had it for the last couple of days, but still only been sick once.
I don't think anyone has really noticed I've stopped drinking Pepsi max, but if they ask I'm just going to say I need to cut it out to help with my hernia, same as alcohol!!!0 -
Thanks. I've rung 111 and a GP is calling me back on the next couple of hours. It's so early though so I doubt a scan will show anything, so I expect a blood test is what I'll get.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0

they use ultrasound for egg retrieval for IVF its not too early.. however they are more likely to ring back with an epu appointment and advice to visit a&e if things get bad. Very few A&E depts. have ultrasound machines so they too would do bloods and an epu appointment. Blood tests don't really tell you anything unless you have another in 48 hours.
Things may still be ok.. fingers crossed xxLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Kynthia - oh I know what you are going through xx I had this with my first pregnancy in May. It was a bank holiday weekend so I had no idea who to call. I spoke to a midwife friend and she told me to ring NHS Direct, they were fab and got me an Out of Hours Dr appt at the local hospital within the hour. They couldn't really do much there other than rule of ectopic, but got me an appt for the EPU after the wknd. Sadly mine didn't end well but I was well cared for by the nurses etc. Thinking of you xxdinglefoot wrote: »I am vegetarian however, so I need to try and eat meat and fish again (even though I can't stand the taste and texture), to make sure me and my little poppy seed are getting the right nutrients
dinglefoot - I'm veggie too! I have never eaten meat though, and am staying veggie throughout pregnancy. MW told me to eat more lentils, beans and greens.* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *
