  • Welcome kyanthia and Lucy. Hope all goes well tomorrow lucy.

Is there still a list for this thread. I'm sure when I was hear before there was a list that we added as and when we got dates through etc.
  • Welcome kyanthia and Lucy! Fingers crossed for you tomorrow Lucy.

Another day of being freezing cold :( on the way home I had 3 layers on including a chunky jumper, my coat, scarf, gloves, hat and my OH's coat as a blanket and I was still cold!

Just two more sleepless nights until my scan.

Yes, been alternatively freezing or boiling hot lately. Hate it. Lots of headachey/sinus pain too.

    Hi Ladies,

Had my booking in app on Saturday at the Birth Center, just got the dreaded wait for a scan date. Hope it doesn't take too long, have to go back to hospital this week to give my booking blood samples as the midwives couldn't get any out of me oops :o

Woke up today and what little symptoms I had, have vanished, even the bloat has gone. My work pants have been so tight the last few weeks and now they feel loose today. I know its normal but I cant help but worry. The only thing stopping me from full on panicking is that I still can't get through brushing my teeth without retching to be sick!!

Good Luck with your scan Lucy.

    Glad everything went OK lucy!

    Welcome kynthia :j

I haven't bought anything yet, I'm still partly in denial, I've had so few symptoms! I gave in today and have booked a second private scan for Friday when I'll be 10+6. I don't think I'll get my dating scan till gone 13 weeks and in really need to start moving my workload on so in want to be reassured first.

Keeping everything crossed for you for tomorrow flutter

    Thanks for the welcome.

JTR2803 I had a private scan at 9 weeks last time and found it so reassuring. The weeks seem so long, especially this early on.

It doesn't feel real this early on and I'm afraid to act like it's real until I have a scan. Perhaps getting symptoms will make it seem real.
Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!
  • Hi ladies,

Looks like I'm graduating from this thread :D I had my scan this morning, sobbed my eyes out when we saw baby on the screen (I was fully expecting the worst), OH shed a tear too! We actually had two scan cos my bladder wasn't full enough, it bloody felt full enough!! :rotfl:

They put me at dead on 13 weeks, I thought I was 12w5 so only two days out.

After scan we went to tell my parents and OH's mum, both mums cried! Have also told my brother and a few friends but my besties won't find out til Sunday as I want to tell them in person and we are having a spa day then.

I'm so relieved, it's been a tough 9 weeks being on tenterhooks the whole time, it's nice to relax a bit now. It's been a beautiful sunny day here, first in ages, so seems like a sign. OH took me out for lunch and we went for a walk by the sea.

Good luck ladies, thanks for the support. Hopefully see you on the next thread soon.

    Congrats flutter.

I'm still undecided about an early scan, I think I'm still in denial which seems to be helping me cope at the moment! I think am likely to have one, but will try and leave it as long as possible.

Phoned the midwife today to confirm I could attend my booking in appointment, she phoned me back a bit later to say I had the date wrong and it was 9am on 9th not 11th as my letter said!! I can't get out of work on the 9th so rung back and they said I could have it a week later, but I would be 11 weeks by then so I said that was no good, then she said well I have an appointment at 6pm on the 9th which is perfect for me as it won't interrupt work, was such hassle trying to organise it at work without saying any key words!!!
